I was able to just walk right outside of the map... like the walls didnt exist, i was trying to stay inside but i would also drift to the left without pressing anything. also made the minotaur a non issue as i could just walk straight through walls.

I really liked the idea for this game, but I found it hard to see where I was going with the camera angled behind the player's head. Also colliding with walls was pretty much an instant game ender. But still very cool :)

good game! it gave me "back room" vibes and a urgency to run away from the minotaur. This would be a nightmare to be up against. i also liked the camera perspective that you chose.

the game was very fun! there was some minor issues i had with the Minotaur where he would get stuck, and that made it a bit of an issue but other than that it was fun, good game!

Very fun! The animations were really cool and gave the game life. The sound effects were cool and the maze was pretty difficult. When bumping into walls the character would occasionally change directions which would get me killed, thats my only gripe. Nice job!

The art and maze looked nice. It was difficult for me to control the player and the scale of player and enemy did not match well on my screen. It could be because of the Jam platform. I had the same issue with my game. It does not show the whole screen of my game either. I wish you had instructions in the first screen, the same as "Press Spacebar to Start" you could add the control buttons.

A maze was a cool idea, although I am glad that you can just walk straight to the finish almost immediately. The walls all look the exact same, so its less of a maze and more about trying to see where you are going more than anything. A second problem that I saw was that the minotaur just gets stuck on any wall and then you can just walk around him.

I like the idea of the gladiator helment, although it makes it hard to see. My camera likes to magnetize to walls in narrow walkways, making it very difficult to escape.

I like the idea of a maze. The controls are a bit slow but manageable enough to evade the minotaur. I love the cover art!

Love the concept of a maze puzzle, did take me quite a few tries to finally make out alive. The Minotaur can be pretty unforgiving at the beginning there. Although the controls seemed a little wonky in that at times it felt like I was being pulled towards the wall. When turning while stationary, like when you get stuck in a dead end, its painfully slow.

The cover art is awesome!
I got the doom vibe from playing it, the game wouldn't start(drop the coverart?) for me, took a few reloads to get  space bar to work to start it and every time it would actually start take a several times of hitting space bar to get it to finally start I would immediantly die I think the minotaur is already hunting at the start.

The camera angle is akward, I feel you wanted the 3rd person view  so you could see the character but need to be offset to the side if you want to see the character but also see the screen.  We just see a big helmet that takes up the camera space.    I like the concept

I liked the idea of using Greek Mythology for the game, but the Minotaur was not ever really a threat if you knew how to properly kite it around, and the camera felt a bit too up close, other than that it was a fun game!

Love the art used for the cover and game over screens. The camera angle felt a bit too close to the player, which by itself isn't so bad, but the controls weren't very responsive for me which made it a bit frustrating to navigate the maze.

Most of the time I didn't really feel like the minotaur was much of a threat, but I think that if there was some music, or ambient sounds that played every once in a while (like minecraft when you're in the caves), it would have brought an extra level of tension.

Overall, I liked the classic mythology vibe and I could see this being a fun, slightly spooky game with some more polish on it!

I clicked through on your link, thanks for sharing that. Sorry to hear about the late submission. :-(

That maze was elaborate! I liked the sense of dread outrunning the minotaur. I think at one point it gave up on chasing me, but then I became my own worst enemy: I think bumping into walls was messing with my rigidbody and I slowly started rotating. X-D

Thank you for your feedback! It is much appreciated :) Yes, I have encountered that same issue while testing the game, I am not sure what was causing it.

I know, unfortunately I learned of this issue after the deadline was up:(

However, if you still want to check out the game, I have a corrected version here: https://jmassaro7.itch.io/minotaur-maze-web
