The controls are somewhat unintuitive, you have to be holding sprint (shift) to jump higher which if you dont do you can never make a jump. With that said you also have to always be sprinting which makes no reason to let go of it ever.

I think this game is good. I was having some difficult with the jumping but I think that was from my end. I think the sounds in the game were very neat and fitting.

The game is pretty good. Some aspects of movement felt a little bit off. The dash feels a little too far and the terminal velocity feels a little too high. Overall, it was a pretty good game.

The game was challenging yet fun, but not too challenging so it kept the game interesting. good game, fun platformer!

the game was fun, and the controls were responsive, you could add some sound for ambiance, but the game was challenging and fun.

Game was fun, but obstacles were pretty difficult. I felt that the controls were a little difficult, especially the high jump. I am also very bad at platforms. I like the use of music.

This game was a lot of fun and gameplay and controls are very smooth and easy to use. I do wish that you didn't have to hold down sprint the entire time but overall very well made

The game seems to be fun I liked the sound and music. a little bit difficult to pass the obstacles in the beginning. it is helpful to keep the first stages easier so the player get more engaged to continue the game.

Very fun game! Controls felt really good and the sprint control definitely was cool to play around with. I was able to escape after figuring out to high jump you have to hold shift. My only criticism would be to add something that tells you that in game. Overall, I think this could be a great  game to continue on and have different sections for.

This was very fun. I Escaped!

I'm sorry I hate platform games because I'm not good at them.  What I did see of it is a good start and would only suggest eliminating the walk function because you basically end up pushing shift all the time.

I suck at platformers so, I got stick and cloudn't move past a few platforms haha.
It took me a few deaths to figure figure out that you had to hold shift/run to jump higher

I liked the dash/jump concept, with the rising lava forcing me to play  faster driving the pace.

I think it would be smoother and more enjoyable in the future if you just make running the default state, the base jump is way to small so just holding shift constantly, also makes your controls more intueative, logically I thought there was a way to jump higher so I figured it out but that would prevent people from playing your game need the dark souls, league, dota 2, style easy controls and concept to play hard to master.

You could also start off with smaller jumps and increase the difficulty of the map as well. single jump to hit this spot, oh now I need a double jump and then sprint jump and dash jump etc.

granted the time constraints, just ideas to think about for the future.

I love the dash, it really made it feel like it was super smooth and you could make any jump if you timed your double jump and dash correctly. Overall very fun!

Took a little getting use to at first, but once you get the hang of it its actually really fun. I love/hate the end paths took me forever to get the top only fall for one of those and die immediately. I wish the dash key would have a little close to everything, would have make it easier instead of having to reach over for j.

Cool concept! Handles pretty good overall, the double jumps seemed to get a little "stuck" on occasion, either in the literal "Stuck on the geometry" way or in the "I jumped but then couldn't jump again for some reason" way.
The dash felt great to use, perfect boost of speed, not too much or too little. Only complaint there is that the cooldown felt a little long when needing to use it in quick succession to reach some platforms.

The lava did feel a little fast at some points, but most of the time I was generally moving too quick for it to be much of a problem until I overshot a jump and immediate fell in, hahah.

Other than that, just some minor visual glitching that might just be an issue on my end. Very cool game!

I want to say the jumping issue is because I might have placed the wrong tiles down or forgot to remove them (even though they are identical to other tiles they have different properties affecting the player). It is possible to gather all the coins - so I feel the lava timing is just right. As for the dashing cool down, you might be right, but I wanted there to be a bit of risk involved when jumping and getting the timing, like for it to come off cool down mid jump!

I'm not sure if it's because it's running in a different runtime environment or I'm just bad at games, but my jump seemed awfully low and the lava seemed to rise awfully quickly. I'll try again, but I literally couldn't make it to the first platform.

tl;dr: I might need to git gud, or the physics are broken.

Love the assets!

Nevermind, turns out you jump higher when you're dashing. It's a whole new game now!

So once I played it more - got up to around 50 coins - I realized that my only real gripe is that it only feels good when I'm holding Shift. But I generally think the physics of jumping and dashing and bouncing feel quite good, provided you're holding Shift. Nice job!

yea I should've removed walking from the game as there was another movement mechanic I wanted to add but oh well!
