Very cool idea and fun to play! I found it a bit tricky especially if I didn't have the right mutations that I needed at the time
Neat! Brave to make a pandemic game during a pandemic, but I had fun! I like that you have to apply the mutations in a grid area, and that you sometimes have to cycle some mutations before you can find one that will save you. I also like the way the gnomes look, very cute.
At first I plan other disasters, but time is ruthless !
I had a lot of fun with this! Very cute game with a unique concept! I love the look of the gnomes, and the sfx are great as well! Great work!
Thank you
Interesting concept and a good use of the theme. I really liked the music and sounds.
And I really like your name ;) (thanks for playing)
Great idea! Took me a while to understand the "shape vs color" mutations (of course, I didn't read the tuto beforehand, but who does).
I don't read them either ! :) (thanks for playing)
i love it
Cool game idea. Nice implementation. Good graphics.
This game looks great, its fun to play (if not a little bit repetitive), and its got a great name to boot. Great job!
Thanks for playing and yes it need some diversity.
great audio and art, it would be great to have a tutorial in game though.
I run out of time (T _T)
Seems like the strategy to get a long-running population is to diversify your gnomes as much as possible, similar to real-life! At times the game was frustrating when I had to spam the mutations in order to get that ONE mutation that would save my people, but other-wise the game was pretty fun!
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, it need some tweaking, and stuff to diversify the gameplay.
That was fun, you can really get into a groove with it. 25000+ population and I only stopped because it got repetitive. A random event or options to build things on tiles, or quarantine groups or something just to mix things up and cause a scramble would help vary the experience.
The core is good but it could use contrast to keep it interesting.
Thanks for your valuable feedback. I had some of those idea but no more time to implement them (T T)
That is how jam's go. It's still really impressive for such a short turnaround.
Great concept and execution. With a bit more polish, I think it's going to be a fantastic game!
Thanks for your feedback
It was a really cool idea. Overall great game.
Thanks for playing.
Took me a little while to figure out how to play, so some instructions would have been nice, but once I figured it out it turned out to be a really fun game! Nice job!
I agree, I got no more time for a tutorial. But I just realize I can make a tutorial in the page description (yes I'm a little dumb :P )
Very nice little game. The gameplay is really polished for a first game jam, so very well done. Everything fits together nicely. One thing that is missing is an in-game tutorial. It was a bit hard to figure out the rules of the game. Once you do that, it's a lot of fun. Great job!
Thanks for your feedback. I age. I already made 3 jams of 7 days, but that was the first 48h jam. And I run out of time. I didn't have the time to polish, make tutorial, balance the game, etc... Next time perhaps :P
I love the concept, and on top of that it's super fun!
Cool take on the theme. Its really satisfying seeing your population grow. Good job!
Cool Concept! Like some others, I didn't fully understand the dying criteria even after a few tries( I did after a few more tries). The white shade probably needs to be explained. With some more polish, it would definitely make a great game for mobile platforms.
Thanks for playing. I agree with you. I run out of time and I'm already glad I manage to publish something playable ! :)
Woah, this was a lot of fun! There was some real fun moments of panic when suddenly it decides that the next wave will kill my entire population of gnomes. Super cool and unique idea, and a very great take on the theme.
Thanks for your feedback.
Interesting idea, but I was fairly confused about what to do. I understand the basic idea that you have to mutate stuff to survive and that the things in the top left die, but it seemed like even dwarves that didn't match the criteria shown were executed. If that was a bit more clear, I think this would be a really great game! Nice job!
Edit: I think I was just being dumb. I think I understand the criteria a bit more now. Nice game!
Thanks for feedback ! Effectively, the "shape" criteria (white ones) are not very obvious (but I ran out of time).
