I loved this! Super dynamic mini games and loved the badges :P I was stuck at the scene with the boss fight because he dropped to the platform below and nothing happened for the longest time - not sure if I was supposed to do something there? Anyway, great game!

Cookie guy is MVP. I think my main critique is that all the different styles among the assets didn't bring a lot of cohesion into the game as a whole. But on the other hand, it allowed for more time to bring in all of this variety. I mean, there is so much content in this entry! I also appreciate all the video game satire and comedy in this entry. Cookie guy is my favorite. :) Good work!
Time to start a Cookie Guy fan club I guess ;P
The art is by far my weakest point. Everything you see has basically been done by CG-Gaming.
He did spend some time making icons and all look kinda samey, but there is only so much you can do when you use are from all over the place and all your minigames have such a different vibe to them. So I feel that critique is very valid.
Thanks for playing and reviewing !
I loved the guy asking me to deliver cookies in the middle of climactic boss fight. Why do these people always expect me to run their bizarre errands for them? Who needs 10 Walrus Tusks, really? I'm busy!
I loved the humor, the achievements are hilarious :D I found it difficult to make a game about cliche on video games as contrary to movie cliche, nobody really tries to avoid them, but you found the good combination. Thanks for making it :D
Solid entry. Great game feel. Loved all the minigames and cliches. 5 stars all around.
very minor observations follow:
On my first run through, in the lab, I imagined that I was supposed to think outside the box like in Stanley Parable, so I jumped down the pit (yes, on purpose) and got stuck without the R to respawn option. Must have missed the collision box somehow.
Then, in the zombie attack level, I remembered that red barrels are supposed to explode, so I was mildly disappointed when there was no payoff for shooting red barrels.
Otherwise, Fantastic submission! High marks.
Also, thanks for making it kind of easy for people like me who suck at modern platformers.
You must be a great tester because none of the people who tested for us managed to miss the collider so well done hehe!
In the escort level you would have been rewarded by your hapless jump down the pit, so it wasn't a bad thought.
Thanks for the review! (and no worries, we suck at platformers too ;P)
Ran into a bug on the final boss fight where he went through the floor right at the start of the encounter and was unkillable. Overall there's a lot of good foundations here that could be expanded on, this was a good amount of content for a jam game. Hit the nail on the head with the theme too.
I was kind of bummed when I shot the red barrels on the zombie level and they didn't blow up :P
We learned about that bug on the day of release. We hoped nobody would encounter it but alas, you managed to find it ! ;P
The red barrels in the zombie level not blowing up was mentioned by our testers but it was too low on the priority list and never got picked up, but it's a valid point !
Thanks for playing !
Maybe the most cliché of all the games, reminds me of Evoland sometimes, great mood. I enjoyed a lot and played like five times until got everything. If I can complain of anything is about the mix of pixel resolutions. Nice execution, good job.
Really cool concept. In the first minute of the game you managed to get me into this state of a constant hunt for hidden walls and looking for stuff that I might have missed, which is nice in some games, but it might be very annoying if it's not done correctly - you spend tons of time on hitting every vase through the entire game after you find one item in it. It's a great parody on all of these mechanics that we are used to, but maybe we went too far because we see them in every game nowadays. I wish more developers would take risks and not just copy all of these mechanics, it would be so refreshing. Thank you!
I just didn't like the escort mission. Good entry though. Loads of mini games in one.
Very cool game! Especially impressive since it's your first game jam :o And special mention to the character controller, it feels great and not floaty as it often does with beginner's games :D
Congrats to the whole team, it goes into my list of favorites!
So many mini-games mixed in. Great work mashing in all those cliches inside the game, haha.
This was amazing for a first game jam!
This game is very funny and it is also the best take on the theme I have seen so far. Honestly, that was a genius idea! I really liked the achievement, both original for a game jam and funny ! The variety of mini-games is great. As Tihan said, the fishing mini-game is actually pretty fun.
But damn you got me good on the escort mission.
That frustration gauge
Great game, GG! Keep making games !
Thanks for the kind words.
I am curious whether you finished the game and how many achievements you managed to get. I wish we had analytics built in because that would be awesome to see statistics like which achievement gets missed by most players and stuff like that ;D
Btw, I fed your cops 12 donuts, I hope that keeps them happy for a while !
The game is a weird mash of assets, but some of the games are competent enough.
I personally really liked the fishing minigame mechanic lol. Good job for a first time!
