Hallo,
Thank you for sharing your game. I’ve already saved its RATING;
1. verified: GAME due to regularly observed Developer in select GAME OFF 2022 entries’ FEEDBACK LIST; remembers: to have verified another GAME of the same name, albeit from ironhandmd; notes: Dodgy Jammers of Thick as Thieves: Hide-and-Cheek also wrote a review
2. observed: noticeable use of 2D pixel drawing technique; adds: text dialogue with each letter displayed in sequence, instead of immediately the whole text; adds: there also exists use of technique where whole text displayed, e.g. with the written letters brought by the messenger birds; remembers: another GAME OFF 2022 entry, A King’s Ransom
3. observed: game to have noticeable background music and sound effects; example: opening of letter from the messenger birds
4. verified: GAMEPLAY to be of reading and writing letters to be sent by messenger birds to select contact persons; notes: STORY TEXT to cause understanding of VALUE of such ACTION, e.g. security of Kingdom; security of Queen with Husband, the King; security of messenger birds over self; notes: female assistant to also exist; remembers: incoming and outgoing electronic data that pass through Internet Service Providers of nation, where cybercriminals misuse know-how to filter data to identify sent passwords that encrypt messages via among others: SSL Certificates, HTTPS (Secure); adds: technique causes unauthorized access to web services, e.g. email, online banking, of multiple people; QUICK MONEY via among others: misuse of information, extortion, harassment of target; OUTPUT: security of money count has lost its VALUE to cause decrease of security of nation AND increase of criminals in-need of QUICK MONEY
5. finished: current GAME version to receive “End of the FIRST ACT”
Thank you. Health!
Lovely graphics and audio, really polished game!! Made me want to try out Godot with how lovely it ran in WebGl. Great game jam game!
Love the graphics & the concept! The font is a bit hard to read (at least on the browser). Wished to see more of the game!
Merry Christmas to all GameOff 2022 competitors! Here's mine gameplay of A little Bird Told Me
Very interesting game!
The art looks great and the music is nice !
The game is not my jam though so it's hard for me to rate the gamplay as such. For me it was too slow to be honest.
All in all, great job and reading the other reviews it seems like a lot of people really like the gameplay so well done there as well (I'll take their word for it ;p)
Great story and nice art style. The game is interesting and has potential, especially if you'll be able to create different stories based on which letters you send.
The music and sounds are awesome, the music is so relaxing.
I wanted to know more but still, great job and nice adventure!
Very intriguing game! I got so invested in it, I was surprised when it ended and wanted to play more. It feels like the beginning of a good story-based mystery point and click adventure.
Really great art and theme but the font is a little hard to read, especially the diallage font. The game is interesting and has some cool mechanics though it ends before really being able to explore them. I'm very interested to see more! Nice work!
The graphics are really cute, and the music & sound effects are super cozy too!
It's a little bit hard to rate the gameplay because... I'm not sure the full vertical slice is here. Like there's a big tutorial chapter, but we never get into the core gameplay loop - we only get the paper to write letters at the end of the game, and we never get a use for the cages or the second desk. I'm interested to see what those would be for, because I feel like there was a whole birdkeeping mechanic we never got to see.
The interactions are a bit frustrating... for instance, it took me multiple minutes to find the back button to start the game, because the button is the same color as the background. And it took me forever to realize I had to click the box multiple times in order to convince Dennis to stock up the paper, there's no real indication that Dennis is intentionally shirking her duties.
I do love the little story, I can't wait to see it unfold some more!
Very very very very very nice game I loooooove it. The mood is absolutely great, the interactions are so on point, the narrative is very well written... One of my favorites of the jam!!!
Very nice interpretation of the theme! I like music and gameplay, I hope you will make more chapter :)
I like how the management of tasks was accompanied by the witty dialogue of the assistant! The graphics are gorgeous, and I am quite intrigued to see where the story goes! Great Game!
The game look simple at first but after playing it for a bit, I find the game has quite a depth to it and I truly enjoy it.
My only complain would the font style used in the game, I find it difficult to read it sometime haha.
awesome game! we may have the same title, but your gameplay and art is way more awesome! keep it up!
Great game!Love the idea of the letters. The graphics and music are great.
I found inner-peace by playing this game! Sorry 4 my eng! Very very beautiful, especially the Music
Beautiful art, the music and sfx fit perfectly; the story already got me hooked and I sincerely hope you expand on it in the future! Well done!
Lovely art direction, music, and everything worked as expected! If I were to ask for anything more from this game (other than more of the story!) it would be font options - I had a bit of trouble reading the cursive pixel font and would have liked to be able to switch it to something slightly more basic and readable.
This is a really great concept! The music is wonderful and well fitting. The pixel art style is gorgeous but also very readable; for the amount of pixels available, I was able to easily identify what everything was. Of course, the first act ended in a bit of a cliff hanger, I right when it was getting good and I was getting invested! Wish I could see the rest of the story, but this game is a very strong foundation if you all choose to continue it. Great job!
The graphics and sound effects were awesome. I feel into it while playing. overall everything is good.
