A very clever game, with polished mechanics, visuals, and audio (I love how the pillar growing & shrinking wasn't just a sprite scale like some games, it was actually different sprites!)

I wish the aiming beam was a bit more visible against the dark background - on level 5, I didn't even realize the beam was a "physical object" that could be stopped by obstacles, and even in later levels it was hard to see where the beam was aiming when I pointed at a mirror.

Cool platformer with a shrink'n'large-gun! The puzzles are well made and there is a nice difficulty curve. The only thing missing is perhaps a story. It is hard to see any progression, but maybe I gave up too soon?

Really like the concept of this game, and it was pulled off really well. The levels are nicely designed and the graphics look good too. Well done!

Great game. I like the effects and it feels polished. Im not sure how to pass Level 6... :D

Developer

Thank you for playing!

That level gave a lot of people trouble, haha. We've written up solutions so that you can keep playing even if you get stuck ;)

Nice game,  enjoed it! :D

Level 6 took me a bit because I was not seeing the mirror, and it was even animated! Maybe presenting that mechanic in a simpler level would have helped.

The lack of a key to restart (In a lot of puzzles is R) was a little bit frustrating, also considering how far is the P key from the normal WASD hand position.

The graphic was good, but overshadowed by the rotating gun animation! ahahah

The ending level was super! A great theme-fitting game!

PS: We made a puzzle platformer too I you want to take a look! :)

Developer

Thank you for playing & for the feedback!

Better presentation of the mechanics was defo high up on our to-do list; our few playtesters had the same criticism. Sadly we didn't have enough time to get to work on that :(

Glad to see another puzzle platform submission! I'll defo be taking a look at your entry soon :)

This game was super fun! I think it's a super creative take on the theme and is a fun mechanic to add a new dimension to puzzle solving. The second boulder level stumped me until I figured it out - awesome execution! "Time to reflect" was also such a cool idea. Once I beat Time to reflect though, my screen just went black but I think it was the end based on the level selector.

The soundtrack felt really fitting for the game also and the graphics were clear yet creative. Overall great game, you folks should be really proud of this one!

** spolier**

Having to run under the rock once enlarging was an awesome puzzle level idea. I know how hard coming up with those can be! Time to reflect was also perfectly misleading

Developer

Oh no - that was definitely not intentional haha. Seems there's a bug there :(

Thank you very much for the kind words, really appreciate it ❤️ Looking forward to checking your game out!

Love that the column shrinking/enlarging changes the structure of the column not just the size! As a total scrub, a reset button would be a nice addition rather than going through the menu, just for convenience. Fun stuff!

Heads up, on your itch page the tutorial says left click for both shrink and enlarge.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! We had a reset button to make our own playtesting a bit easier. I should never have removed it haha.

Also thanks for pointing that out - have fixed. Looking forward to playing your submission!

Great game! I love the lighting effects! The gameplay feels really polished and the concept is cool. The physics work surprisingly well and the art style is simple yet effective. GG!

Developer

Thank you so much Miru! We spent way too long on that laser so I'm glad you enjoyed haha. Looking forward to playing your submission; the guy on the thumbnail sort of reminds me of a parody Piccolo from DBZ lol

Great game, I loved it. Neat and consistent art style, great sfx and music. The physics also works out.

Loved the idea of scaling the objects - similar to my game :-)

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! We struggled a looot to get the physics somewhat decent, aha. It's still far from perfect sadly

Looking forward to playing your submission!

Look very polish. But i thing mirror in level 6 is not working.

Developer(+1)

The mirror does work; but unfortunately, we shifted the position of it a tiiiny bit immediately before release, and forgot to move the collider with it :(. We've emailed Lee and addressed the fix for this - thank you so much for bringing this up, and also for playing!

If you're interested in playing more, we've written up the solutions in an attempt to make the game a little more accessible.

Thanks again for playing, looking forward to checking out your submission!

Game looks good but I am also stuck at level 6

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing!

We’re considering writing up solutions. Is that something you’d be interested in?

Submitted

I assume we have to hit the mirror part on the top but it does not reflect the lasers. Maybe my assumption is wrong and because of that I can't see the real solution

Submitted(+1)

Enjoyed this a lot! Unfortunately I was stuck on level 6 same as the other commenter, not quite sure what to do there.

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing!

Looks like we dropped the ball on level 6 :(. We’re considering writing up solutions to share with the community. Is that something you’d be interested in?

Developer

We've written up solutions in an attempt to make the game a little more accessible. We would love it if you could give it another go; we put a lot of love into the later levels and hate that we've made it too difficult :(

Thanks again for playing & looking forward to checking out your submission!

Fun game with intereting concept! But I wish it had less incoviniences to have the most enjoyable experience(like the only way to restart I found is through escape button, which exits the fullscreen)

Developer

Thanks for playing - and thank you for the feedback!

Yeah - that "escape" issue is a super annoying limitation of full screen on itch.io (and web games in general AFAIK). We DID make it so you can pause with "P" also; but we only mention this during the tutorial level of the game, which is a little hidden.

Very nice game! Got stuck on the sixth level through. I think it has something to do with that shiny pink, purple thingy, maybe it's like a mirror, but it didn't work. Or maybe I'm just bad at this game... Anyways, it's still a very nice game!

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

Thanks for playing!!

Sorry to hear you got stuck. We considered writing up solutions, or an optional "hint" functionality in game. That unfortunately got tossed onto our very long "if only we had more time" list. Instead, we opted for pause-and-restart functionality to make it a little easier to solve.

In retrospect, maybe we should have prioritised the hint functionality more!

Thanks again for playing :)

Developer(+1)

We've ended up writing the solutions now. We would love it if you could give it another go :D

Thanks again for playing!
