Nice interpretation of minesweeper :)

Beautifully done, loved the graphical style and animations in particular.

Nice take on Minesweeper. I was able to play through the whole game on medium without ever having to guess (that is, there was always enough information to reason out a safe tile), so I think the game works in that sense. That along with the nicely polished interactions was enough to make it a pretty fun experience.

As for matching the theme, I think if you had just elongated the hexagons a bit in one direction it would have done a lot for selling them as "scales."

I've been loving minesweeper lately, this is a super fun take on it. I wish I could zoom in, I fat-fingered a few tiles on hard mode and blew up :(. Really nice job tho, android version worked great

What a cool and polished aesthetic, like Minesweeper but with a much better interface. Very entertaining, great job! ^^

Great looking game that looks very polished. The hexagons make for all normal minesweeper logic to be thrown out of the window and while I am not sure of it, I think it does not give away enough information to play the game without having to get lucky quite often.  Could be I am missing something but I felt myself having to guess a lot of the time. My best results came from spam clicking at the start of the level (so getting lucky first) and then using hat information to deduce all the others.

having said that, I did enjoy myself and the game would obviously work great on mobile (and looks to have been designed with mobile in mind).

Great job on this one !

I'm numbe4 on easy. I enjoyed this game it's simple. I liked the color palette and winning particle effects. I think you could have added some music that suited the game.

It's a really good looking minesweeper. Gave me old vibes. Congrats!

I enjoyed playing this! Good job! As someone who has played a LOT of the classic minesweeper, it was an interesting challenge to forget and relearn patterns.

Well polished with nice sound. Gameplay works well. Not so sure on hitting the theme, but it plays really well around even on my phone!

The concept is nice, but many of the design virtues of your project come from a previously existing game.

The game's nice, very well polished and different enough to make its own place in the mobile market, but sadly I don't really see how it fits in this jam.

I love minesweeper and thought I was doing a great job clearing those levels until I submitted my score lol well at least I was able to complete a medium, I got lucky at the end and had a 50/50 chance of blowing up on the last 2 mines :)

In other words I love all the little things you did to make the gameplay enjoyable, from the right set of sounds, to the little animations, it's very well polished and would make a really fun mobile release.

Great job!

Great game and I was surprised by the amount of polish (even had settings for dark mode!)

I'm not a huge fan of the original minesweeper because of having to guess sometimes, but since you went with the hex shapes, you can take a look at Hexcells or Hexceed for examples of similar games that don't require any guessing.

Also, I didn't see a setting to invert the controls, which I think would be a nice accessibility feature. I often found myself clicking the opposite button I was supposed to, but maybe that's just a problem with me!

Developer

Button inversion is a great idea, totally forgot about it, thabk you for the response

Cool minesweeper! Also nice to see a mobile game submission, don't see those very often. I think I understand the connection to the theme, hexagons are sort of like scales?

Anyway, solid entry!

Developer

Yes, thank you for the review, you got the theme connection correctly, although I can't say I've done a good job making my game relevant to this theme, but for me what matters the most is the enjoyability of the project, and since I've seen that the original idea was leading to no fun I've just redid it as a simple minesweeper

Submitted

A refreshing take on minesweeper! Can't really see the connection to the theme, but still a solid game.

I like this take on Minesweeper. Leaderboard and multiple difficulties are good additions. Mobile version works good in general but I can't type my name since keyboard doesn't show up when I clicked it.

Submitted

Great game .love the changing of color on restart.adding more shapes would be cool .

Cool reinterpretation of minesweeper, it got me during a few minutes. Leaderboards are an amazing feature for this kind of game. I've also liked the usability eye mechanic.

Great job! :)

Not much to do with the theme but other than that can't go wrong with minesweeper. And even have leaderboard!
One problem I encountered though is at harder difficulties one space can be surrounded by mines making it imposible to determine if that space is clean or not. And then I had it happen again and I had to play a guessing game which of 2 left spaces left on the entire board is the clean one.

Developer

Hello, thanks for your review!
The random space things is what I've hated in the OG minesweeper, so I've tried to fix it with the eye mechanic, which safely reveals a cell

Submitted

Well ai least you tried.
Could maybe look up if a field is surounded by mines and relocate random mine. Not sure if that would be foolproof either though.

Really enjoyed this! Will be checking back in to see where my high score ends up. Couldn't finish the hard one, kept running into the classic minesweeper problem where it's a blind area and you just need luck to not hit a mine. Very fun!

Developer

Glad you liked it!
