Really comfortable cartoon style, and the timer snail XD

I like it! Especially that you added another dimension to the gameplay than just fishing. Stacking them large to small is a great idea! Also, I really like the artstyle :) Nice job!

Solid idea well-executed! I enjoyed timing the instant-catch mechanic. Only issue I had was that the music was a little repetitive, but it was great otherwise.

Fun little game with cute looking graphics and a well suited music track.

I would have preferred to also be able to move sideways with the hook, but maybe that would have been too easy or too unlogical in regards to a fishing line. Maybe only move to the left then, reeling in for that.

Took me 2 tries, but I managed to catch them all in the right order and stack'em up :D

Great job !

I did it in 75.0 s :)

Really nice game and interesting concept. And artistically, as much for the music as for the graphics, it's really very cute and pretty.

Great job ;)

cool take on the theme, it is really satisfying to get the perfect hook set and pull the fish right up! I like that if you catch fish in the wrong order it pops back into the pond and get to keep fishing, smooth game play.

The art is so cute and we love the idea, very fun to play

Solid concept and nice graphics. I've got an interesting potential idea for you. Incorporate the Tower of Hanoi puzzle in there. So you would have maybe 3 piles to stack fish, and each pile must obey the biggest to smallest order, but when you catch a fish you can choose which pile to put on, and in the end you have to consolidate the 3 piles into one big pile (all while preserving order).

It looks nice and sound matches the looks of the game. Maybe you could have added a few levels? start with like 3 fish in the beginning and build it up over the levels. It's pretty hard already.

And to get players more invested I would recommend to start easy and early on give them feeling of being in controll at mastering the game. Using this engagement you can keep them playing your game for longer.

Overall nice game though!

For sure! We initially planned to have increasing fish/levels (as well as some kind of reeling mechanic) but, you know, the month gets away from you. Maybe if we decide to revisit post jam :) Thanks for playing!

This is very clever and funny: I think it should get way more ratings! I would love a set of stickers with these cool artwork :)

omg, this is adorable from the graphics to the audio I can see it being part of a bigger game like Stardew!

Very interesting submission! Its simplicity allows it to be extremely polished and the art is incredibly well done. A great example of the KISS principle. Great work!

Ahhhh!!! This is a really cute game, the graphics are so sweet, I love it!

this is a very cute and polished game that has exactly the right amount of challenge for what it feels like it's going for. i had a really great time playing it!

my only note is that while the changing fish order each time you play creates better replayability, it also changes the difficulty a bit. my first time playing i had a fast smaller fish in the top row and it was very difficult not to pick it up by accident almost every time it was in the water. in my second time, all the fast fish were still in the upper 2/3rds but not right at the top, which felt much better to play. that being said, this is a pretty minor gripe that doesn't impact the quality or fun of the game.

This is a great note and something we can look into fixing so the rng is a little better for balance. Thanks for playing! 🐠

Very cute graphics but I wanted to fish the snail :'(

Developer

It's my own game and sometimes I still try to fish the snail to stop him from taunting me! Maybe we should add him as the topper in the future, haha! Thanks for playing 🐠

Wow I'm amazed! The art style is brilliant, the idea of the snail as a timer made me giggle and the gameplay is nicely balanced! Great job!
