YANAGIBA, PAIRING KNIFE (REMOVE 50), CRANK... I also particulary liked the use card, draw card combo... however, I couldn't finish the complete set of 50 fish using these techniques.

I didn't have any bug, which is a very good thing :)

Overall, the game is well made, it's fun, so good job!!

Developer

thank you!

Interesting game! In this charming card game, you're an otter scaling fish against time. The gameplay is engaging and strategic, requiring clever card combinations to succeed. With each turn, the challenge of deck management adds depth. Collecting new cards is a thrill, and scaling 50 fish in 20 turns brings a satisfying sense of accomplishment. It's a delightful blend of skill and strategy!

Thank you!

Interesting game!  I made it to 50 fish in about 19 hands, but I really didn't understand the way the scaling worked for a bit.  Once I did woof...I think I got 30 fish in a single hand.  Good stuff

Developer

thanks!

This is great! I really enjoyed combo-ing lots of cards together and you made it very fun allowing the player to update their deck often. Nice job!

Very interesting idea and I enjoyed playing it. Cool art and overall visual style. It started to feel a bit repetitive after a while though.

Developer

thanks for the feedback! we had originally planned for a bit more versatility in the gameplay but had to cut it down for time. glad that you enjoyed your time with it regardless :)

It's a great card game. I could still use a tutorial at the start, but I was getting a pretty good flavor of what this was. This card doesn't seem right... Did something go wrong?

Playing this broke the game. And it seemed like when I hit high multiplies,  it just churned for a while before there was play again.

Oof, what a knife!

Developer

we unfortunately ran out of time for a tutorial, so we instead threw the instructions into the game description. it is something we would have liked to have had as well.

as for the card in your screenshot, cards retain all their bonuses until they're played. the card you have is perfectly alright, you just managed to gather a huge multiplier on it. we have some known issues with damage overflowing, so that's probably why your game broke. congrats on being so good that you broke the game! :)

Fun deck builder with ridiculous scaling potential. I think that I did overflow the Deba (it went down to 0 scales and x0 effect) but I’m still waiting for the 50k fish to get scaled :D

Developer

thanks! yeah, the scaling can get a little out of hand haha

That's 50 fish in one turn baby!

Cool little deckbuilder. I liked how the damage carried over from one fish to the next. There was a good variety of cards always with new ones coming out, and they definitely scaled up in power. A few different obvious synergy routes seemed apparent, I went heavy on a Tweezers build, stacking up time as much as possible and then doubling my knife output for some massive fish-processing efficiency.

Thanks for the game, I enjoyed playing it!

Developer

thanks for the feedback!! glad you had a good time playing :)

Fun card based game with really good graphics and animations. This looks really good and is fun to play. Only thing I would recommend is adding an opponent to play against.

Developer

thanks for the feedback! that wasn't really in our vision for the game, but i do understand that it can be a bit too easy if you understand the card synergies

your game is an interesting take on the theme and has good graphics and gameplay allowing any person from any genre of game enjoy it.  4/5 very good πŸ‘

Developer

thanks!

If you make that the multiplier of the deba card doesn’t increase and the animations a little bit faster this would be a really nice and interesting game. Keep it up!

Developer(+1)

thanks for the feedback! we wanted the cards to scale really high, but it definitely goes a bit overboard at times

Hahaha, great job! The most important thing is that it hooks, and for some reason that I don't understand, I spent a lot of time cutting fish hahaha. Very good graphics and sounds. Very simple, but very addictive. My congratulations!

Developer

thanks so much!!

Very well done. Theme used in multiple way after i got 87000 points of damage after fish 15 haha. I'll admit i didn't wait for the 870 fish to get scaled :P but i got over 50 !

Developer

thanks and well done! and yeah, we ran out of time to include a skip button for the animations haha

I made the game explode with a few million damage, and that is my favorite way to end a game. :>

It was a very fun game. I love deck builders, and I also love how you need to slowly filter cards out of your deck for better ones.

Developer

Thanks! :)

5 stars, this is just amazing, very fun to play :D
We though about this theme interpretation, but there was no way we could reach this level of mastery (Visuals, theme interpretation, gameplay, BGM, SFX...)

High respect to all the team, possible winner right here!

Developer

thank you so much!! that means a lot to hear :)
