Short and sweet.

The artstyle and color choice was nice. Movement mechanics were solid although the camera was hard to control.

Music was nice as well.

Level design needs to improve though. While the certain areas looked alright, most others looked quite barren.

I love the style of art and animation which reminds me of YASUO in LOL ( League of Legends), especially the icon! Perhaps you are both Japanese samurai?

I am not very good at action game, but the controller and feedback works well on me. I think it is good.

Great job!

beautiful intro and fun game - hard to control the platforming, but still enjoyable!

Love the character designs and the overall vibe of the game! I think the gameplay is pretty neat with the different ways to explore the world. I did have a bit of trouble with the rolling though, but other than that I really enjoyed playing this game. Great work!

Nice fun game to roll around in! Good job!

Really nice game with cute characters and animations. The controls feel pretty good, except for the sensitive camera controls if I am being picky. Other than that, well done for the time constraints!

Great animation in the beginning with cute and very likable characters! The mechanic of switching between the humanoid form and a ball is pretty cool, and it reminds me of Metroid. I just felt that the controls were not that responsive. It might need a little tweak to get it right.

Good job!

Developer

Thank you for playing our game Daniel. We will continue to refine the player controller to find a a way to make it feel more responsive. We are very happy you liked the animations! Thank you lots for playing our game and leaving us feedback! - Great work on your game as well!

Fun title. I jumped at the green orbs a bit before realizing those appeared to be checkpoints 😁. I like the rolling effects but it could be a little interesting to control the camera and direction of roll. Nice work overall!

I can't play it extensively, but it's very enjoyable. I love the initial animations! <3

Good to see other classic 3D platformers in this jam, I really enjoyed your game! 😁

I really like the artstyle and the models of the characters, they have a lot of expression and personality. Also, the 2D animations add a lot to the overall experience, they are unique and cute! 😄

The mechanics could be a little more polished, but it feels good overall. I really like turning into a ball, it's a mechanic that's not that common, and it's really fun to move around like that, well done!

The map itself is cool, but it feels a little bit empty. I can guess that it's intentional due to the setting of the game, but I think that this aspect could be worked on a little bit more for a future release.

I'd recommend you guys to check out our project Scale Tale , it's also a classic 3D platformer hehehe 😃

Reminds me of classic 3D platformers. I like the design of the characters and ball mode was fun to play around with. Mouse sensitivity felt a little low for me, it would be nice to be able to adjust it. Nice little game!

Cute little third person multi-movement explorer reminiscent of Banjo-Kazooie era games. The movement is a bit unresponsive for my taste as it makes some of the jumps really hard. I managed to get to the end but with a ton of trial and error. The ball rolling was a long of fun and I would love to see the game lean into that with even more speed. I am not sure how I was supposed to 'hang on' objects but managed to juke my way through that part. The cutscene is great and the characters are styling and cute. The game could be a little less brown on brown to make it a little more visually interesting. The whole walking bit could be set up by half. The sound that is there (mushrooms and background music is great) and I think some really good sound would make this game feel much meatier. Overall it has a lot of potential and I'd love to see it refined!

This game looks fun, but with no Mac or Web build, I can't play it. Do you have a gameplay video? I like the artwork in the pictures.

This game really gives me a feeling of big production with all the cutscenes and the classic third person adventure theme and even the ending. One thing I think you can improve with is the level structure, for instance the layout, the visual cue and the difficulty. And doing playtests might be helpful for this. Overall it's still very good! Well done!

Developer

Hello,

We appreciate all of your feedback. We are glad the cutscences gave the game a bigger feel. We will certainly work on improving the level structure and making more levels. with playtesting as we continue on with the project.

Thank you again for your time and playing our game.

I love the world you have created with this game. Fantastic art. The opening cutscene was incredibly impressive. It looks like traditional animation and if so, bravo (well, bravo either way because it looks great). The character model is also very well done. Small thing, but I quite like your control scheme with ball mode on F and jump on space. The speed of ball mode is a joy.

I think the camera in this game still needs a bit of work. Maybe some smoothing with how it moves. It also clips through the bottom of the map sometimes. I also think the controls in ball mode could be a bit more responsive.

I wasn't able to get past the mushroom that you feed. I don't know if I missed anything or if this is a bug.

Overall, great work.

Hello,
We appreciate your feedback! Our artist did do traditional animation for the cutscene. Our artist will be happy to hear you enjoyed their work! Glad you liked the ball mechanic too; we were looking to give the game a fun physics-based way to control the player. Hopefully we can refine this and the camera to make this project better.
For not being able to feed the mushroom, did you have trouble finding the mushroom, or did it just not let you feed it? Hopefully we can resolve that as well!
Thank you for your time!

Hi Tyler,

I want to say again, great work on this all around. This was very ambitious and creative. You and your team did a great job.

With the mushroom, I was able to feed it but it didn’t let me jump high enough.

Hope that helps!

Developer

Thank you so much, we will look into that issue to get it resolved ASAP!

Have a wonderful day!

Wow. first of all your animation capabilities, Amazing!! I would love to  play a full game with just that alone. I really liked the cell shading on the main character art!! i would consider using that across the whole game. character controller can use a bit of finesse but over all really great job!! I thoroughly enjoyed

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing our game and leaving us feedback. We are definitely going to look into cell shading the environment for the future of this project. We are happy you enjoyed the game and hope you will follow its development as we continue to work on the project!

Very charming little game!  I like the tutorial style as well, but it had me wondering if the green orbs held anything LOL.  The controls were a little tricky.  The mouse look is pretty instantaneous, and I think it would be useful to be able to look up for the spots where you're "scaling" :).  I know that camera following is tricky though, so I consider this minor in a game jam.

I noticed from trying it out that you had some gamepad support, but it didn't seem to have all of the buttons.  Mine is the typical Logitech USB Playstation-style.  I was able to jump and move, but the right stick did not look around and there didn't seem to be a replacement for 'F'.  Didn't affect my enjoyment, I just used the keyboard as instructed, just FYI.

Great music!  Set the mood right from the start.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback - We appreciate all the kind words! We are going to keep working on adding to this project and will try to add controller support, and updated camera for our next update.

Have a nice day!

I had a lot of problems with mushrooms, starting with learning they make you jump.

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback - I will note that the mushrooms make you bounce in the game description to try and alleviate the issue.
