Beautiful and original platform game!  A little difficult to jump at the beginning, but once understood the mechanics, no problem.  Good work!

I wish I was better at these games, would like to get further in it. I at least possessed the worm, I like the idea of using the mobs abilities, very clever.

The difficulty is a bit unbalanced; I must remake the level to make the puzzle more logical.

great concept with the possession. 
I really struggled to get anywhere in the game though :D. Took me ages to work out how to jump off the walls at the start. Managed to posses the worm and get by, and then couldn't get the bounce right after that.
Needs a bit more ease on progression into the game, to give me more time and chance to enjoy this great gameplay feature.
Looks and sounds good though, and i still had fun :).

Yeah, it's a bit unbalanced. The wall jump system need another polish to really make it understandable at start.

What an awesome platformer. I really like it!
Its beautiful, it plays well and it has a good gameplay mechanic.

The wall jumping was a little off. Congratulations of a solid effort for your first Jam!

Yes, for now you must press against the wall to wall jump. Maby it was a bit unclear.

Very nice platformer. I found it a bit tricky, maybe I'm just clumsy... I'll try to put a bit more time into it, I like the challenge!

The idea of possessing enemies is great! Since I didn't get that far, I don't know if you exploit this a lot or not, but I totally would.

My only 'buts' are the lack of audio, and that it's not really connected to the theme (at least not the bit that I've played). Still, good idea, and well executed.

No, you're correct. The difficulty is quite unbalanced.
The Audio was big downer. I was working on the system and level so much that audio just slip my mind.

Currently working on bug fixes and trying to make it slightly easier to get to the end of the level.

According to the theme, it was not clear enough, but I had these lines as guidelines from the lord of the rings
All that is gold does not glitter
...

Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
To complete the level you must pick up a golden snes controller "Renewed shall the controller that was broken".

Love the pixel graphics! As others have said, this is very difficult. I'd like to see everything you made, but I can't get past some of these obstacles :(

At first, I thought it's a simple platformer, but the smooth wall jumping and the posses options are great! GJ :)

Really loved the visuals, and the concept of the game is really cool and interesting! I would recommend adding some audio, and I fell through the floors a few times while playing, but really cool game nonetheless!

I will add falling through floors to the major bugs fixing next week also aiming for some sound effects and music as well.

Yes , it's a bit unbalanced still. Wall slide/jump has a lot of room for improvements and sounds would have increased the overall feeling.

I like this idea... felt a bit silly not realising that I should have possessed the worm though, I kept booting it off the edge. Thats all on me though! Id like to play this again with some audio, Jumps etc...

I love the mechanics your game, especially the possession ability is a ton of fun and maybe a little op.

I mean that the screen is flickering when you move. At least at the itch.io bulid where I played it. If it doesn't happen normaly then never mind.

I couldn't get past the swinging obstacles either. I tried just sitting there after possessing the worm, thinking the hitbox needed time to update and that seemed to work? Until I got to the other end and forgot how the walljumps work and fell to my death again. Boooo. 

A really cool premise and super clean pixel art. I would love to see this more developed! And music, too! Good job on finishing this. Your first jam is a big step and I hope you do more!

Ouch, that was not my intended idea. The worm supposed to walk just under the swinging obstacles.  Then you press Q key un possess worm and continue the level.

Nice game concept art! Like the other guy, I also had trouble passing the first stage - character sometimes die when still possessing the worm guy.  but potentially a great game once it gets more polished

Ouch yeah, I noticed that if character is too close to swinging obstacles, then he (while invisible) gets hit even when you're possessing worm. That was not indented to happen.

Platforming felt fun and possessing had great potential. I had trouble getting past the first obstacle though.

I love the look. The controls are a bit difficult (mostly the wall jumping I find). I like the premise. I would give more wiggle room for error so that it doesn't require perfect timing to avoid spikes and other traps. With some polishing and tightening up, this can be really cool!

The graphics are amazing. But I'm having a lot of problems with the gameplay. Controls are chunky. The lack of sounds and music doesn't help much either.

But if you correct it the game have an incredible amount of potential. Keep the good work.

I REALLY liked the art and the concept for this game. I did run into a few bugs that made it hard to finish the game.

I had a list and I guess I forgot to past it sorry about that.

  • When you jump on the worm at near the start it some times falls into the terrain
  • When you posses a monster your collider stays where it originally was. This is a problem when you posses the worm standing near to the swinging spikes
  • Bouncing on the shroom up into terrain can get you stuck in it

QOL idea after the bunny section maybe reset the bunny position back to its starting position so if you fall down you don't have to restart
