The web version would give me a black screen. I built my own native version that worked fine. The main menu needs a Quit option, though.
Yeah very funny! Good idea developed well. Good Job!
Wow that was a bit stressful, but definitely fun!! A bit more of a clue around where things are about to fall would be nice, but otherwise a really nice implementation!
Thank you for playing! More feedback when low on health (like shadows of incoming rocks) is a needed addition, I agree.
Really fun game and challenging. I like it a lot. Well done. One person mentioned it might be a cool idea to add a little shadow on the ground where the falling rocks will be. I played it tonight on my livestream and if you want to see the replay you can check it below
Thank you for playing and streaming my game, much appreciated! Some sort of shadow or another kind of indicator for incoming rocks would definitely be a much needed addition to the game. But I think the balance between looking up for incoming rocks and for new gold is part of the game and should not be taken away completely. However, seeing the indicator / shadows only when low on health could help the player staying alive. Many thanks for you honest feedback!
yeah its always hard to say how those things will impact a games balance and playability until you try it. Shadows sound like a good idea but it could completely change or ruin the gameplay as well.
Very fun game! Sometimes the interval between the rocks falling felt a bit too short.
Thanks for playing! Some additional work on the difficulty curve is definitely needed.
Well done, the controls were on point and it was all depending on my skills to dodge the rocks and the best thing was when the bar hit the red, it legit felt like the mine was gonna collapse on my head. awesome game.
Thank you for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! That feeling was what I was trying to achieve from the get-go.
Good work!! A very interesting and fun game!
Glad you liked it!
Wow, spectacular! Very well done! Every time I think, "I've played enough jam games, but let's do one more," I find a gem like this. The controls were quick and snappy, making me feel agile and skilled for avoiding falling rocks. There was a decent escalation in falling rocks without being overwhelming. Overall, solid package and well executed!
I could see this being fleshed out a little more and published on mobile. Maybe a few safe zones, like in tunnels between rooms? I was going to suggest falling indicators beneath boulders, but deciding when to look up and when to move is a clever part of the design.
Many thanks for your nice words, I'm glad you enjoyed it! A mobile version would be interesting for sure.
Well done! Visuals, audio and UI fits together well. I got out (after several times being too greedy :D) and progressed to the second level, but somehow I was not able to figure out how to avoid being killed by the rocks :D so for me somehow the feedback of the rock damage positions were somewhat missing. If you plan to continue developing this it could be a good idea imho to place the gold/silver stones randomly per level.
Thank you for the nice and honest words! Better health feedback is definitely needed.
I really liked this one. Great mood, UI looked nice and cohesive, good audio and a nice sense of urgency with the falling rocks. Maybe you could show in the UI during the level play how many more rocks you need to get until the level is over? At first I wasn't sure what the endgame was until I went back and read the How to Play in the main menu. Just a suggestion though. Good job overall. :)
Thanks for playing! Some more information on the objective of the game and a better tutorial would definitely benefit the game, I agree. Thank you for your feedback!
Nice game, simple. I think you could have done a little bit more to connect it to the theme more properly. I think you were going for portraying the trade-off between gold and safety but somehow it didn't quite show as much it felt. Mining for Silver instead, was probably not the answer. It could have been something like, an extra incentive if you mine the maximum gold you can, but there is a clock ticking before the mine collapses? So you decide, what do you do? is it worth getting the gold? Also maybe throw a spin in there, maybe you risked everything to get gold, but it ends up being fools gold.
Anyway, obviously we all didn't have enough time to think of everything, but still this game was well crafted I thought, no major bugs etc, good mechanics too.
Yeah I agree, I could have probably managed to better connet my game with the theme. To be quite honest, the theme was only really used when thinking about the setting and not so much the gameplay of the game. Thank you for your honest feedback!
Really nice game, I enjoyed playing it.
It fits the brief, looks good and plays well.
well done!
Glad you liked it, thanks for playing!
Cool concept, and it's nice that it saves progress in the game session. GJ :)
Thank you for playing!
Great job. Effects and audio and gameplay all fit in perfectly.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!
Nice fun game :).
nice balance with the Gold/silver Ores making the game harder/easier.
Be nice to have a health bar.
Well done, great work.
Thanks for playing! I thought about having a health bar, but I think it would not go well with immersion. However, a better way of telling the player how much health he has left would definitely improve the game (maybe alongside a way to heal yourself). Thank you for your feedback!
The first two level were easy, but the last one very challenging. I had to retry a couple of time. Once I even got killed and I had 12 ore on me :X
Was fun to play! I hope that miner is paid enough to work there.
Glad you liked it, let's hope so!
Solid game! lacking a bit of content, but that is expected of a game jam submission. Would definitely be a lot more interesting with more level design. Nevertheless, the immersion effect and audio is on point!
Thank you for playing! More content and gameplay variation would definitely improve the experience, that's for sure. Thanks for your feedback!
So, I tried your game and at first, I thought I had a bug or something because I couldn’t mine even though there were animations and sounds and everything. After briefly checking the source code I realized I was clicking the wrong way. I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me I had to hold the mouse click lol D: Anyways, game reminds me a lot to Deep Rock Galactic aesthetically and it was fun to play, didn’t really find any bug and it was pretty straightforward. Good one!!!
Thank you for giving it a try, even with some trouble! Maybe a better tutorial would help with the confusion.
Wow! I love the art style of the game :D Sounds are super cool too! It was fun to play.
Thank you for playing!
I got lost and couldn't get out, definitely felt like I was being crushed in a cave!
Thank you for your feedback, I have added wooden signs with arrows on them that point to the exit now.
