i love the aesthetic and the music

I was just left with ET..... it seems ok just needs to have a higher framerate i think, as a fair few times the ball basically teleported.

Nice starting point and congrats on submitting a game.

Developer(+1)

A downloadable version post-jam will hopefully fix that, it is pushing the limits of webGL :)

Submitted(+1)

You can post a downloadable version now if you like as its just another version of the game you submitted, it wont breach the rules unless its got major feature changes.

Developer(+1)

The downloadable version is there now :)

I got 3500 before dying on the second table :P. Fun game!

I would have maybe started directly with table 2, as the first one has a bit too few things to bump into and there is sometimes too much downtime between flipper hits where the ball is just rolling through the table.

Developer(+1)

Thanks, that feedback reflects my own opinion, but to stay true to the theme I needed the table with DEATH targets to just be the beginning.
My way of honouring the theme.
Will definitely make the first table more interesting once the jam is complete.

5233! Just like in old Microsoft Pinball

Developer(+1)

Nicely done, I think I'll investigate making a high-score table that is more extensive so people can compete with others.
cheers

Awesome game! Very cool to see a pinball game as a submission! A lot of fun to play!

Great game, really enjoyed that! I did have the ball falling through the flipper on occasion, but really nicely done!

Developer

Hmm, I'm seeing this comment a bit lately, I hope building a windows downloadable version post-jam is the fix but I'll make sure to investigate, I'd be silly not to, thank you :)

Developer(+1)

There is now a downloadable version if you are interested.

Submitted(+1)

Really liked it :) GJ

Nooice! I like the pinball play, it was a good setup-- the paddles lagged a bit and I lost a few balls to them slipping through the collider. It was a lot of fun.. definitely went back for seconds!

Developer

There is now a downloadable version which may solve your issues.

Ozball - Play ball :D  Loved the retro pinball feel.  The mechanics were really solid. Brought me back to the old arcade days.

Developer(+1)

Very nice.

The second stage really caught me off guard hahaha

Great game!

Developer (1 edit)

Good :)

Thanks

Nice work!

Developer

thanks

The humor is great! The second board was awesome, great sfx!

Developer

Glad you liked the second board, that is how I worked the theme :)

Submitted(+1)

Pinball games are always quite fun and I liked how the board suddenly changed after you got the letters. Also I liked how there were secondary paddles up top. Nice work!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks, btw I hate your game because it makes me want to go back to Japan soooo much.

But I'll keep playing it often because I also love it.

A good classic game!  I wanted to shake my keyboard!!

The only "bug" I found, it is, in my screen, I can't see the whole UI of the beginning.  I had to "guess" the button to begin, because I only saw the border...

Developer

Hmm maybe you can post a screenshot in discord for me some time so I can try to fix that.

Thanks :)

Done

Wow! This one’s a keeper, for sure! Fluid game play. And D.E.A.T.H is only the beginning, indeed! Found a little “feature”: the ball gets stuck at the upper left flipper, but giving a little “S” helps. Maybe there is a way to increase the ball’s visibility behind those upper flippers? e.g. decrease the height of the visible flipper while keeping the collider size?

Great game! I’m going to have a good look at the source as well, as I always wanted to fiddle with some pinball game.

Developer

Thank you, yeh thats an interesting idea with the top flipper, I guess I could also make it more transparent if its in contact with the ball for more than say half a second. This will be fun to test out.

The source is very much at Jam level, but it works, enjoy making your own from it.

Really good fun entry, I liked the sense of humour and it played really well!

Great job.

Developer

Thanks mate :)

Excellent entry! I had a blast playing this. Occasionally, the ball would clip through the paddles, but that was the only big issue I encountered that affected gameplay. Excellent job!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Yeh I coded it so the ball would jump the paddle if you are playing too well.

(just kidding - I'll add that to my postJam fixes)

Developer(+1)

There is a downloadable version now that may fix the clipping issue, cheers

You've got to pinball your way out of this.  LOL  And those SFX made me laugh too.  Thanks for entertaining me.  Nice submission.

Developer

cheers :)

I love a good pinball game!
One of my OG favorites was Sonic Spinball on the Sega Genisis.
You made a really nice pinball game here with an interesting story!

Please consider also rating and reviewing my game when you have a moment to spare!

I would appreciate the opportunity to grow and improve based on your feedback.
