It is really clever and fun! Great game!
I enjoyed the game. Nice puzzles. The rolling of your dead ppl and having to jump on the is a great idea but the later levels where you had to do that jumping and your bodies keep falling off the platform was frustrating. I got to level 6 before I gave up. I'd be stuck in hell. :/
Well done and enjoyable. I also became a little annoyed at level 3, but I enjoyed the problem solving and the creative approach to the theme. Great job.
The idea is very good and I really like the game. I even thought that it is kinda cute. But level 3 got me to turn the game of, as the heads always rolling away and it is hard to get on them to reach the next platform. Other than that good job! I really like it!
congrats on submitting!
Was fun made it to level 3 but did manage to glitch myself threw wall on second platform where it said to climb up.
playing was fun. i would like to make a puzzle game too. but it's more challenging, scares me. you have overcome this. congrats for submission.
I like everything about this game, but the heads being as round as they are frustrated me a little, they kept rolling away all the time :D
Great job!
Things I liked:
-Great menu system, great foundation that seems easy to improve and polish
-cool idea using previous lives to move forward with the ability to choose to sacrifice as an ability!
-Great introduction to mechanics of the game - very well thought out
-cool visuals! loved the aesthetics!
Things to improve:
-jumping mechanics were not as responsive as I would like - I get caught on walls on other objects and lose my jump altogether which is tough and too punishing
-being able to roll is fine, but losing jump and control was confusing since I was unsure if it was a bug or a feature - having an indicator be more clear on when you have control or not
-Level 4 onward, the puzzles were a little confusing like dying in the lasers on purpose spawned you in a new area- that was something I was unaware of and it was not introduced to the player
-pushing the block core that powered certain buttons/stations was difficult and tedious to push around. Maybe having some way to push them around?
Overall:
Clever fun puzzle game with a great foundation- amazing that it was made in a short time!
Thanks for checking out my game, I updated it so it would be nice if you could check it out again!
I like the idea. the colliders on the head I think are too round to make it fun for using them as platforms to get up. I couldn't get over the hurdle after the first respawn area because the heads rolled too much.
Really good core-game loop! The second puzzle was particularly fun.
I would have loved some music that was a bit more fitting, and some backstory about the little devil would have been great because it has a very interesting design, so I’d love to know more about it.
Great job on this, I can tell a lot of love went into it! The torches were a really nice touch, and the lighting in general was great. I was pleasantly surprised when I figured out I could make countless sacrifices! I know you wrote that you guys are working on some of the physics bugs and stuff (I believe), but I can see the direction you're going. Keep it up, I'd love to see where it goes in the future.
Great idea, nice choice of models. Very cool that you made it in 3D, makes it stand out. I liked the level design :D
I love the visuals and there was something satisfying about making hundreds of sacrifices to fill the rooms. The puzzles are a really cool idea. It was a little tough to make some of the jumps because of how rolly polly the bodies are, but that might just be me. Overall, though, great concept and fun puzzles!
I found a lot of bugs and was able to go through any laser wall and skip all the levels with ease. graphics I can appreciate. and tip makes the dead bodies square or something, more times than not they rolled away and created frustrating gameplay with no fun. Music was quite and almost non-existent making for a very empty gameplay experience. Less of a puzzle platformer and more of a frustrating platformer. Lots of levels though so I was able to play for a while.
Great work creating this! especialy not having touched Unity before! very impresive :).
Dead bodies are the best mechanic :P.
Nice set of puzzles to solve. Yes there's some bugs, but you're aware and it's to be expected. So great job!
Fun puzzles and art but its hard to control the player. Even when I knew the solution to the puzzles, its hard to execute it. Other than than great game.
Very nice puzzle platformer. Like others have said, some janky physics at times, but it's all part of the fun right? ;) Nice work!
Congrats on completing the jam! I liked the rebirth mechanic and stacking up my corpses to progress. I had some issues with physics on the bodies, but made it through a few levels. It might help if the corpses were always on their side so we could more easily jump on them.
Leaving behind your dead body to help you climb things or press buttons is a great idea for following the theme of this jam. It would probably be good to have the dead bodies fixed in place to make it easier to climb them.
I really enjoyed your puzzles even if the movement might be better if it was a little bit quicker. Maybe our base jump could also be a smitch higher so that one can reliably jump on the corpses without having to push them around. On the second level I think it would already improve greatly if the whole floor was made out of those bouncy thingies I jumped most times between the jump pads
