That looks amazing! Didn't have enough time to play much at the last minute, but it sure is cool! Nice eerie music and nice movement. You are my last rating.

Thanks for playing, appreciate your time on reviewing it πŸ€©

Underrated entry, very effective atmosphere!

Developer

aw thank you!πŸ˜„

The atmosphere is great and the cutscenes with the comics style are amazing

The house is quite big and there are so many boxes, I’m not sure if this is a good thing or not, but the last encounter of the monster in the living room where you have to open all the boxes while being stuck in the dark dimensions followed by the monster was very cool

At the end the game said β€œif I did something different” so I assume there are multiple endings?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for giving a try and glad you liked the artstyle πŸ™Œ
And also appreciate your feedback, is a good point about having many boxes before the last room πŸ€”. I'll take note for the improvements, thanks!

About the multiple endings: yes, you got the right hunch. The hint is that "something can be done differently in the last room".

It was scary as hell! I am absolutely in love with art (especially in cutscenes) and aesthetic. Really well made horror game. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for stop by and playing the game, and I'm glad you lovd the artstyle πŸ™Œ

Wow! That was really creepy and fun. The cutscene at the beginning was well done, the music and art were nice (I especially loved the posters in the bedroom), and the part where you are looking for the last key was a nice challenge and genuinely scary. Would love it if there was more to interact with throughout the game other than hunting for keys, but I understand there is only so much you can do in 10 days. Great work! Hope you do more of this. :)

Developer

Thanks!, glad you have fun while playing it, the style and eerie atmosphere with the pixel art is all Ricenoodle's great work πŸ˜„

We will try to extend it a bit and fix things after jam, appreciate your feedback πŸ™

This is... something ive not expected. It was fun, creepy, pretty and have very unsettling vibes.

I admire your pixelart and artstyle. Brings back fond memories of beholder with a creepy spice on it. Probably the best visuals ive seen on this jam so far.

Got 1 question: is there really that my boy could done something differently?

Developer

Thanks for your kind words!, All the artwork and style is all Ricenoodle's work πŸ™Œ

Yes, there is a 2nd ending. Giving a clue, you can do something different in the last room πŸ™Š

That was great. Good environment, good music, just good everything. Well done!

Developer

Thanks for playing and glad you like it πŸ™Œ

This is the best horror game I've tried so far in the jam. I love the atmosphere you've created and the art is perfect. You didn't overuse jump scares but the tension was always there. Great job on that! I was a bit disappointed with the monster not actually being harmful, I thought it would be at least a plot point :D But it still had a great design.
There are small little things like gamepad support, especially since a gamepad plays an important part in your game xD And the light from the flashlight going through walls felt a bit off.

Developer(+1)

Thanks!, glad you liked the atmosphere and art. We planned to make the monster a bit more involved but the time was taking over and couldn't add too much πŸ™ˆ

Appreciate your feedback, I'll definitively take note about gamepad support and flashlight improve to include after the Jam πŸ™

Absolutely LOVED the cutscene aesthetic. Fantastic use of theme and legitimately creepy. The sound design was really great at giving you unsettling vibes.

Developer

Appreciate your kind words, glad you loved the aesthetic and resultπŸ™Œ. Thanks a lot for playing!

The game scared us so much and also the story was so creepy ahaha! Nice ambientation and the using of the pixel art :D

Developer(+1)

Hope it wasn't too scary πŸ™ˆ.  Glad you like the ambientation and the art. Thanks for playing, appreciate you took the time to try it!

It is a bit of a shame but I got stuck in the kitchen, the fridge wouldn't open, I couldn't switch dimensions and the door was locked. I was really enjoyed the game, lots of potential here!

Developer(+1)

oh no, sorry to hear you got stuck... The fridge area of action is small, and also is not clear from the game that you need to "hold" the action button for the interaction. I will make it more clear after the JamπŸ™

Glad you enjoyed what you managed to play, thanks for trying it! πŸ™Œ

Really impressive entry! The art, effects, sound, atmosphere and music selection were just fantastic. Legitimately spooky vibes. I see from the other comments there were two endings too, I think I got the bad one! Not entirely sure how to predict the monster or where I went wrong. I managed to get through the last room ok by kiting him around though! Really excellent submission and very unique. The art is a real stand out!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your kind words, glad you enjoyed the experience and the overall result πŸ™.

The secret ending is not affected on any of the decisions or actions made before the last encounter. Is a bit more on unfollow a "pattern/constraint" that is repeated before entering in the last roomπŸ™Š

Incredible horror game one of the best games in the jam can't believe you did this in 10 days

Awesome job

Thanks! Much appreciated πŸ˜ƒ

Love how the game looks and sounds. The game did really well in building an eerily ominous atmosphere. I was kept on edge the entire playthrough. The game was able to scare me without an overly cheap jumpscare. Great final key hunt. And the game also has multiple endings, nice.

I think I know the reason you made the monster just disappear when it reaches you, but I think that reason is going to fly over a lot of the players' head. Maybe make them know that there will be consequences?

One of the best entries in my opinion. Great job.

Developer

Thanks for play it, and glad you've enjoy it!. Also appreciate your words and feedbackπŸ™. We were wondering if someone will discover the 2 endings, so nice that you've found it πŸ‘».

About the rough edges, we rush things a bit as we got near the submittion date and had to cut a lof of things. Is something we need to improve a lot, plan according the time and not over scope πŸ™ˆ.

Submitted(+1)

Good job. very nice horror game. I like it :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing πŸ™Œ

Really neat concept and appreciated the eerie vibe.  The contrast in the environment when toggling "dimensions" really helped build atmosphere.  Would be cool to see this expanded on!

Developer

Thanks for playing it and glad you like the contrast between dimensions. We'll try to expand it if things align well🀞

I loved the art and music. The monster was creepy as hell and actually scared me the first time, although later I realized I could run into it and nothing seemed to happen. Also it started appearing in both dimensions? I think I would have enjoyed a greater variety of mechanics/ways of interacting with the dimension shifts, but overall a really cool, atmospheric piece of work. Nice job!

Developer

Thanks for playing!, glad you like the experience.

Yeah, the first stages were meant more to be a bit jump scare than other thing πŸ‘». Also thanks for the feedback, we intented to extend but the scope creep + time was real and sadly we had to cut a lot of stuff πŸ™ˆ

Submitted

Makes sense to me! I hope you keep working on it.

Awesome game! I really like it!
