This was really cool and quite esoteric! I progressed to level 3 but the unavoidable (as far as I could see) insect dude got me every time after I got to the cat cube (didn't quite figure out how to quickly determine which way to turn the cubes)

Nice game and very original.

Cute doggy! I like the graphical style and it's well optimized for the Web, runs great. I liked your choice of soundtrack too. Nice entry! Glad you got it undeleted.

I really liked the concept and the idea but it took me time until i figured out about the photo.

The gravity game is such a great ideas to have, though it's difficult for me, but it's a thoughtful mechanics. Good job!

A great idea! I like that you chose lowpoly for the game; the different mechanics were cool; I especially liked taking pictures of the little birds; and the story was amazing. The music you chose blended well with the aesthetics, but it needed more SFX. I’ve got to say that this needs a lot of polishing; like the colliders need work, some of the controls needs fixing, etc. I also think it needs tutorials, like showing the player directions, but overall, it’s great. Good job!

I really like the music choice and the overall visuals. The game looks really good. I think the turning is a little too hard at the moment as I found myself overshoot what I wanted to frequently, but I really enjoyed running around and capturing the birds. Very interesting mechanic!

Super creative, what a great job and it really fits the theme!

Developer

Thank you, your game is also very enjoyable. I had a great time playing it!

Thank you so much!

Cool story and concept. I struggled with the controls a bit and I think Level 2 could benefit from having an indicator for when the arrow/wind is about to change as I think it can feel a bit sudden (especially if you're near the boundary). I really liked the first level with the birds and thought that turning them into photos was cool.

What a delightful game! I loved the concept, and really dug the music.

Got me a little unguarded for level 2, lol! Nice one: it's almost two games in one. I don't know if level two has an end, but I managed to fly a little bit. Gj!

The game looks good. I couldn't figure out how to advance the game. Shooting didn't seem to work. There's some potential here.  Good job.

Developer

I hope you played in fullscreen mode as shooting is only possible by picking up the corresponding items. Thank you for your feedback.

Good and fun base to start more development on. One thing that could use polish is the collisions because I got stuck when moving inside the building, and the camera feels a bit to fast, but the graphics look good, and the combat and level design are good as well

Good start for a game, a little rough around the edges. Some more sound aside from the music will help immersion a lot.
Nice work

Developer

Thank you, I believe we're all here for feedback to know what needs improvement. Could you please let me know which areas you found to be the weakest?

Very Unfortunate that the escape button starts the second half and also causes it to freeze on the browser. Still a very charming game that I was excited on exploring before it dumped me back at the state. The other realm is pretty wild but you have done some good work!

Developer(+1)

I'm sorry, that's my one big mistake to assign the pause function to Esc, I will fix it. I didn't plan a browser version

Thank you for your feedback.

Very charming! I think I'm doing something wrong on level 2. I wouldn't recommend setting it so escape closes the menu since that exits fullscreen, and you can't see the full game unless you're in fullscreen. And then my photo just drifts down, unaffected by W or S. Not entirely sure what's going on.

But, I like the world building you did, and I like the movement controls in level 1. Taking photos of the sparrows was satisfying. Nice work overall!!

Developer

Perhaps you simply didn't flip the card to the "E" side, as it has two positions: facing the player and sideways. If it's facing the player, you won't be able to catch the stream, and therefore the "W" button won't work. I'm honest with players and made an effort to play through the game six times after releasing it to ensure there are no secrets—just follow the instructions.

Developer

I have left a video in the comments below as an example of how it approximately looks.

I see, thanks for showing me! Excellent music choice, btw.

Cute story, fun little world. Some of the trees in the first level are missing colliders and I was a little confused at first on what I was supposed to be doing, but I figured it out.

Nice job!

Thank you for your feedback. Everything will be taken into account!

Well, taking picture of the cute little birds were the best part for me. There should be clear feedback when you get hit, If I wasn't looking at my health when touching the bird, I wouldn't even know I got hit.

Level 2 and 3 controls is really unfriendly to the player. Level 3 is really frustrating. If there was only the rotate puzzle thingy I might have liked it, but combine that with needing to know I have to shoot the enemy I didn't even knew existed and walking on thin bridges upside down really ruin it for me.

The game looks cute. Nice story.

Completed the game. So much content in 10 days. Good job on the game.

I tried to include some elements that carried over from Scene 1 to Scene 2 and ended up in Scene 3, such as the bird that hangs in the void and the bugs that you carry along the pipe, all of which serve as hostages in the situation. Thank you for having the patience to play the game. It's just a small concept that will be further developed after the game jam, taking into account all the feedback received. Sounds and more visual effects will be added to warn the player. Level 2 is designed to be challenging, and the control change is intentional. In reality, it's relatively simple and has been simplified compared to the previous version. I didn't want to add too much dynamism to it because I realized it may not be accessible to everyone. I didn't want the level to become as intense as in Battle Toads with speedboats.

Interesting concept! Some more guidance in the first section would have been helpful because it took me a while to figure out what to do. I didn't even realize I had picked up the camera at first, so maybe when you pick it up, a dialogue box could display saying "picked up camera, click to take photos" or something like that. It would also be helpful if you could move the game camera around without turning the character because it made moving around a little cumbersome and I got stuck on objects a lot. The second part with the changing gravity was pretty unique. I found it a little confusing and frustrating, though. The controls didn't respond until I pressed E and I'm not sure if that was intentional or a bug? The explanation of what to do was a bit confusing. It's still a really cool concept and I'd love to see you do more with it! The art style is really cute and I liked the music. Nice work!

Developer

The fact that the character is not facing forward is a deliberate design choice to guide the player and make them aware of the turn mechanic using the E button. If you played in windowed mode, you might have missed some dialogues, and I apologize for that.

I enjoyed playing, although I didn't manage to complete it. I somehow got trapped in a wall in the first level at one point and had to restart the level, see below (that's what we get for toying with dimensions! :) ). Similar to what someone else commented, it took me "dying" to realize the birds weren't my friends, but maybe I didn't read something close enough. I learned though and next time I avoided them, LOL. I liked the graphics and by the time I played didn't have issues with controls, etc. Great job!

Developer

Thank you, I will try to readjust all the colliders in the scene since they are free assets on lvl1. I had to rely on raycasting to track the player's position in space so that it reads the surface normals and doesn't collide with them.

Submitted

Excellent submission! I got stuck on Level 2. Keep building!! :-)
