Gameplay is crazy fun! And I jammed out to the soundtrack for a good while.
ha ha cool little game with a super cool intro and outro. Perhabs there will be unfold 4D ^^
movement needs some work though, not as crisp as i would have liked it :)
Loved the intro cinematic :)
Gameplay also feels good I'm just not good at it
Haha sorry, I might have made the map a bit harder than necessary :)
I hope you could enjoy it anyway!
I'm a huge fan of Mirror's Edge. So this felt just like home for me. The movement feels so smooth. I want more. Give me more!
Thank you for playing, I'm glad you liked it! Mirror's Edge is one of my all-time favorites, too :)
Love sound and background music! Game reminds me of a good old cs b-hop nad jumping puzzles maps, very good!
Thank you for playing! I've always been terrible at bunny-hopping in CS :D
Very cool! I had some trouble with the little cubes, and I can't seem to finish it in under 3 minutes. Was an enjoyable ride, gj!
Loved the wall running! Good work!
A very interesting prototype. It is worth it to finish it in a full game. Congratulations!
Good game! Is it implemented in blueprints or C++?
It's 100% blueprints. Although I wish I knew how to do C++ in Unreal Engine because the wall-running logic became really difficult to read.
This was really fun and quite intense in the full course. I kept messing up by running on the edge of floor blocks but I ended up using this to my advantage. Great submission.
Thank you for playing! The edges are quite buggy, unfortunately, but I found that they can at least save you from death when you just barely reach the platforms :)
really fun game, parkour also pretty ssmooth. Add some sfx will make even more enjoyable so maybe you should consider that. if you continue this post jam, maybe add some more obstacle or more unique platform for more challenge. overall good job completing the game!
Thank you for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Can you elaborate on the problem with the SFX? They were not working in the first upload and I admit that the music is much louder in the current version, but generally, most mechanics should have them
ah after disabling the music I hear the SFX xD, I think you can increase the SFX volume because in my opinion, it is really small.
Awesome game great work man
Looking forward to more levels
who do you think you are? introducing short but harder path and not expecting me to have 10+ min after i finally finish. really fun game. timer really keeps you engaged and wanting to improve. Nice one!
Haha sorry, I had to play the game for 3 days straight, so it's hard to judge how difficult it is and how fair the target times are. I'm glad you enjoyed it though! Did you improve your time?
once i got used to that clipping if you're near the edge, i got it sub 3. and i'm happy with that :D. so i would say target times are fine
It was a good game. I think the timer mechanic was a good choice to keep the challengers invested. Also animation at the start-up was a nice touch. It would have been better if there was a BG music and sounds. Also loved the cover image. it pulls people(me) to the page.
Thank you! There was a bug with music and sound effect playback which I just fixed, in case you want to check it out again. I'll give your game a shot asap
Wish there was sound effects, but I really enjoyed this one! Will keep trying to beat your dev time. I hope you keep working on this one, if you fleshed it out into a full game I would definitely play it.
Thank you for playing! Yeah there was a bug with missing audio playback, I was accidentally using the default GameInstance instead of my custom one that has it implemented. I uploaded a fixed version with working music and sound effects in case you want to check it out again.
My current best time is 1:32:34. I'm honestly not sure if it is beatable because it requires a lot of trickery and luck, and I have been playing the game for 4 days straight :D
I did redownload it, the sound makes it a lot more fun! Finally got gold! I'm sure I'm missing a couple trick jumps to get your dev time. I really like this though, if you keep going with it and want playtesters I'm totally down to do it. This is my favorite game from this jam I've played so far for sure.
Congratulations!! I honestly can't judge how fair the target times are because I had to play the game for 3 days, but I've been told a few times already that some mechanics are difficult to get used to.
If you want a tip to improve your time: You can exploit the bunny hop boosts with very short jumps. That is, you can mash Spacebar on ramps and jump against the tutorial signs from below :)
I struggled a lot with the very first sequence of wall jumps after the tutorial, but I gradually got more into it and found it quite fun by the end! Great job!
Fun concept! It actually took me 7:27 to beat the map xD I found the precision jumps really tough even with time slowed down (the player would wall run on the edge of the platform sometime). I enjoyed playing it, looking forward to the 4D version :D
Thank you for playing! 7:27 is pretty good, some mechanics are hard to get used to and the "running on the edge" bug can really spoil your run. I re-uploaded the game with fixed audio in case you want to check it out again, but the map is still the same.
Nice it's really fun and addictive, it has a nice vibe and I really like the game visuals good work on that D.
Thank you for playing! "Addictive" is something I like to hear :D
Cool game! I like how it starts. And I love how it looks, the colors go well together. Had trouble with the running on the side walls part, it was a bit tricky to get a handle on.
True, some mechanics are hard to figure out and there is a bug with running on the edges of platforms. Thank you for playing!
