Really fun idea! I liked some of the small touches like the seagulls splatting against the screen and the dish names. The whole recipe and cooking system seemed well thought out and worked very well. I got a bit confused about how to satisfy what people wanted at times, since they always seemed happy no matter what, but it didn’t seem like an issue. Well done!
I had a lot of fun with this, I think having a spot to save your food so you could have a few items made at once would have been good, and it felt a bit chaotic at the beginning until I understood what food qualified as what. I had fun!
This was really fun, I liked having to balance fighting the birds off and the customers! It has great polish, nicely done!
Great game! Really enjoyed this one. Very fun idea and I like the mechanics of cooking and feeding a lot, with different buffs and different people, it adds a nice level of strategy and hecticness. Just a suggestion, but I think it might be more fun if instead of just pressing a button to chop if you could click on the knife itself. In fact, there were a few times where I found myself trying to click the thing above the button instead of the button. Just a suggestion, love this one! Good job!
Everything about this game was just a massive massive hit for me. The visuals were charming and appealing yet also clearly communicated what I needed to do with all of the recipes. The crafting system was SATISFYING! Those juicy chopping sounds as I was preparing my veggies were a real auditory treat. The gameplay loop really gripped me, I kept wanting to unlock and discover new recipes.
For me this is a perfect game!
Excellent work!
Wow what an incredible game! All aspects were so polished including the animations of the pixel art, the intuitive UI and the gameplay mechanics that ramped up in difficulty as you got used to them. I will definitely come back to playing more of this one after the voting period.
Great work by the team behind this one!
A very creative take on tower defense, I mean, Food Stand Defense. The use of cooking mechanics and upgrades make the game loop feel really fun and addictive. Congrats for the good work! Keep going!
Btw, sometimes I can spend more money than I have, giving a negative number, lol!
I think that with the customers you serve successfully chasing the seagulls away for some time is such a cool unique mechanic, I really liked that as well as many other things about your submission. Great job on your game, I enjoyed it very much!
Nice idea! Every sound here works well, it makes the game very fun to play. Good work!
Great work! Fun game and I like the idea that the customers fight of the seagulls! Also good tutorial, easy to follow and one understands the mechanics/gameplay immediately!
Good job! I felt the sound effects really fit well into the game. I especially liked the customers fighting off the birds haha. The names of the recipes were also hilarious, "streamlined sandwich," "salad i guess" hahhaa. One comment though, I think the controls could have been explained more/more intuitive. Maybe it's just me, but it took me a sec to see that the "cook" and "prep" were actual buttons to cook and prep, and not just labels.
Very nice game, I love the art style and animations! Good job with the dialog pop-ups and screen transitions also, everything is very fluid.
One suggestion I might make is having people keep coming endlessly even if there is a limited number of birds remaining. As I got further on in the game I would manage to feed all the people, but since they tired out, there were one or two birds that could just take food, and I had no one to send to deal with them.
Fun game! I liked being able to experiment and find new recipes instead of it just being the usual tower defense. IT was also very satisfying when the seagulls hit the screen lol.
Enjoyed playing the game. Liked being able to make a meal combo for a certain boost and making the customer happy.
