Game is fun to play! The cannon shots are abit weird but its fun overall.
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving a nice review!
Yeah, some of the comments really opened my eyes that I'm taking too much velocity from the ship into the cannonballs. So next time I need to work on better feeling physics :-)
Looks, sounds and plays grrreat!
I liked the damage indicators on the sprites of your and the British ships. It's something my game is lacking.
Got to 360 score.
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving a nice review!
That's a really good score, I think I was able to get over 400 but I played it a LOT :-D
Ay nice game! Quite the feeling when you speed between two ships and fire on both sides.
The cannon shots sounded weighty and I liked it, the art looks pretty nice as well.
Neat job! :D
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving a nice review!
Amazing! I really enjoyed the gameplay! Keep it up!
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving a nice review! I intend to join more jams from now on, it was really fun :-)
good art good ship control and awesome music ;)
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving a nice review!
Good job, love the art style ! I think I heard the same music for another ship game in the jam which I think is a funny coincidence :)
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving a nice review!
Yeah, the Drunken Sailor is quite a classic for sailor themed things and it's available on opengameart.org, so it makes sense :-)
Liked the simple mechanic and how you set everything up, I thought the mechanics and controls were clean and the game was fun to play. Not sure if I missed it but wish there was a way to reverse the ship otherwise it may be possible to get stuck, which might have happened to me immediately so I just tried it again and tried to avoid it. On the other hand, maybe ships have trouble going backwards, so maybe you did that on purpose for it to be more realistic to the setting or something like that. Anyway, I think you did a great job on it!
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving feedback.
Yeah, I agree that's a little bit clumsy. Actually, it's probably possible to always get out of being stuck, you just need a velocity bigger than zero to steer the ship which can be accomplished even when stuck but when you don't know this, it's not very intuitive.
I should have implemented at least a very slow backward movement. Well, next time :-)
Was good fun :)
Thanks a lot for playing and including my game in your video, that's really cool! :-)
Ahoy matey, I had a great time on the ship! Loved that you added controller functionality :)
Thanks a lot matey! I love when small games support controllers as well and it's now really easy to add it to Unity with the new InputSystem.
Very cool and pretty, I also really liked the way the ship moves - so smoothly as with a little big of drag like in water :)
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving a nice review.
Honestly, I kinda copied 2D car and tank controllers, adjusted them a little bit and it worked! :-D
Arr ye matey be a mighty fine submission to this 'ere game jam ya gone and done developed in ye spare time. I do be a sucker for entertainments of the most nautical variety and I was mighty pleased to have her a look-see over. Our dream of a republic may be now restin' in the depths of Davy Jones' locker but God rest her soul, it was a dream more lovely than a flagon of rum at the end of the longest voyage. May the salt in your beard ever flavor your stews and may the wind blow steadily in the general direction of your intended passage
This might be the coolest review ever! Thanks a lot matey!
Nice! That was really fun and it played very smoothly.
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving a nice review.
Wow, nice game. We have very similar intros, I like this pirate game.
I did however struggle to read the text when running in normal browser mode but when switching to full screen it helped.
Good job.
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving nice feedback.
Yeah, optimization for multiple screen resolutions is always painful so I made it playable on all resolutions (hopefully) but the text is small in the window.
I liked playing your game. It is quite enjoyable and replayable.
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving nice review.
Final score: 200
Great game! Very fun and satisfying to play, the sound effects made me think of Anno, lol!
Good work!
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving feedback! And nice score!
nice game with good implemented mechanics and nice clean art style as well. Well done
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving feedback.
Can't take too much credit for the art though, that's the beautiful Kenney's assets, I myself really suck at art :-)
Great job with the smooth game play! The tripleshot was a nice touch; felt really satisfying to line up next to the enemy, land all 3 shots, and hear the krk-krk-krk. The animated sinking was cool too!
Proximity based AI was well implemented. Gameplay was intuitive, though I think it would have been even better with a deeper gameplay loop (e.g. upgrades, or tougher enemies).
Nonetheless, solid submission!
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving feedback!
Honestly, with the sinking, I feel it needed something more to make it better, maybe just some water bubble particles would do the trick. And as usual, the plans were big but the enemy AI and polish took more time than expected so I had to settle for a simple game loop :-)
You did a really good job with the controls, and the enemy AI suited the game well. It may be nice to add things like power ups to heal or improve your ship or maybe constructable defences in order to give the game a little more depth.
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving feedback.

Great game! The controls feel great and the visual and sound effects feel great too.
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving a nice review!
I liked this one a lot, reminds me of some of the mechanics from the old Sid Meiers Pirates game. I played it on my youtube and gave my feedback if you want you can check it out here
Wow! Thanks a lot for playing, leaving a nice review and playing my game on your YouTube channel.
Seeing my game on YouTube felt great, so thanks a lot for it!
