That was cool! The art is simple and readable, the level design is proficient, and the mechanics are just so much fun! It's a clever, if somewhat janky, physics platformer.

The audio is a bit imbalanced; the music is much quieter than the sound effects.

Great work!

Loved the game. Very cool idea. Unfortunately, in the toy room, I managed to drop the ball through the closed door and lost it….

It need some polishment, specially on the controls, but it is SO funny to play with the spiderweb. Loved it.

Not a bad game, though an item necessary to progress fell through the floor once. Also the controls took a little getting used to.

When I saw the game uploaded just before the game started I was enamoured with your palette and the design of the spider. It some how calls to memory games shipped with Windows 95. I've been recommending people play this one whenever I've been on call. There's just so much charm to such a little spider. The line drawing doesn't adhere to the pixel resolution, but pobody's nerfect - and I quickly forgot about this as soon as "Incy Wincy Spider" started playing.

A charming game only made more likable by the fun movement and the strange movement bugs that make mastery of it exciting.

Swinging around is a lot of fun. Cool concept.

I love the mechanics and the physics :) Awesome little game.

Congrats

At first I was mad that right and left arrows made the spider move up and down on the wall, but I was wrong. It totally makes sense a spider would see walking on a wall differently and adds to the gameplay. The spider is adorable and it cracked me up imagining a tiny spider hauling around appliances. This was a cute entry.

the physics of the character, his movements and his abilities are devilishly effective !

when the spider is on the wall it can be a little confusing but it works really well overall.

i would have liked a musical composition that matched the overall game but in my opinion it is the only thing that is below the rest which is great.

well done, very cool game !

Thanks for the feedback, I made a chiptune rendition of itsy bitsy spider but I should've added more layers.

Apart of tackling the theme in a very particular and clever way, I like it a lot but for reasons you might not think, let me explain:

This game is maybe a bit longer than it needs, the web mechanic tricky, objects can be kinda hard to move sometimes because of how physics work... BUT the amount of fun and potential for speedrun, fast movement and how replayable it could be is quite big!!

Once I understood the movement and how to abuse a bit the physics I was flying constantly with a full closet on my back jaja. The puzzles are simple jet enough challenging (the last room maybe haves too much stuff), and the different objects and locations make it a fun ride.

A must play of this jam in my opinion ^^

Thanks for the feedback!

Timing the gameplay always provide some extra potential for speedruns :D. And the last room was the real challenge to provoke speedrunners to improve their movement as better as they can! I think a lot of players did a second run just to get that felling of improvement :)

The spider is soo cute ! The walking on walls feels a bit junky though, better have them stay on the normal perspective, not the spider one. I think the ceiling is in the player’s perspective too :s
I would have loved the ability to change the "grab web" distance.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

We thought about controling the grab distance, it you for sure help in many situations for a better swing a throw control, but we explored too much of GBs controls with all the movement and web swinging. A few extra buttons would greatly improve that experience, but limitations must be considered :D

I've just played the game, there is something satisficing by sorting common items.

i got stuck at the washing machine level for sometime
and at some point, when i was standing on washing machine, me and the watching machine started to float together until i managed to place the washing machine.
i couldn't repeat the same bug to the clothes

overall, awesome game

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

It is not a bug, it's a feature! Just joking, it is a colision bug we couldn't get rid of in time. But in a way, it was used as a feature by many players. It's better to have a bug that helps the players LOL

Really loved the web mechanics, only thing is when hanging sideways I think it would've been more intuitive to use up and down to move up and down the wall, other than that was really fun!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

We got stuck with a few different versions of the walking mechanic and jumping. Initially we thought of using a diferent button to jump, we GB only provide 2 of them, so we kinda had to use up for jump and kept the side controls to move the spider in any other direction.

I adored the little footstep sound effects when you're walking around, great attention to detail! I also thought the 8-bit rendition of itsy-bitsy spider was a nice touch, but I think there could have been more variety in the soundtrack. Using webs to grab objects was fun and I think the core concept you've got is great. Also, loved the Lightning McQueen sprite in the 4th puzzle!

Ka-chow!

Thanks for the feedback!

The walking sound really gave live to the little spider. We thought it worked much better instead of animating the legs with steps ;)

Controls feel a bit janky and the sound is a bit off, especially the opening sound almost gave me a heart attack, but I dare say the idea for this game is one of the most original I have played in this jam yet, the character controls pretty much the same way as if it was in a game boy game, still it feels janky, graphics are closer to an Atari rather to a Gameboy, other than that this is a great example of a good idea with a good execution in a given time, 7.5/10, can't really complain a good game.

Thanks for the feedback!

It really got some atari vibes! lol
