How fun! The mechanics are fair and well implemented. The music is very cute. The sound effect for star collection is mildly tinny, but that's my only complaint.

The art and character design is extremely kawaii; I feel my heart melting!

Great job!

Glad you've enjoyed the game. I'm happy to know that you liked the music. As per star SFX I think perhaps could be a bit louder, didn't have too much time to polish everything. But perhaps we can make a little update lol.

Dingbat #1! I love the charming character style. It reminds me of Tiny Toons and Tazmania.

Cute game! I appreciate the attention given to UI and options - it's easy to leave out options when you're on a tight deadline, but they can really enhance how polished the game feels. Love the border!

This game has a lot of charm! I especially love the character select and the level clear screens. It felt a lot like a Game Boy game; I could imagine playing six worlds of this as a kid.

Developer

Thank you, and ooh, that sounds really fun! I wasn't sure what I could do if I wanted to expand on the game, but having different worlds - kinda like different tournaments with their own unique levels - would be a good way to go about it! Thanks for the idea!

I love the graphics on this game. The song from level 2 has Kirby vibes, I really liked it.

I picked the fastest character and I was able to reach a lot of stars, it's a pretty good touch the fact that you can select different characters.

Cool game!

Delightfully cute! A greyscale color palette doesn't do this adorable art justice. It needs more pink!

(btw, I am the fastest bunnova in the galaxy)

Developer

Ooh, pink palette... That would be interesting! I somehow didn't take into account the color palette this time, but next year I want to have multiple color palettes - ooh, or maybe I could add it as a post-jam thing... But either way, a pink palette sounds fun! (Go Bunnova, go!)

Congrats!

Great little game, it feels very polished. I am particularly impressed with the number of options, the window size and button remapping is very nice. Graphics and music are both very good and the presentation is great. Very cool, nice job!

Thank you!!

I used my own engine for this project, so basic quality-of-life options like window resizing and remappable controls were included from the start. The way I figured was, "if it's included in the game making programs we're encouraged to use, it should be alright to have it included in my engine too"! (Though I ended up fiddling with them to tailor things to my liking anyway, haha...)

Appreciate the music compliment!

Glad you enjoyed more than one element in the game!

This is a very nice game!

Cutecat lives up to their name with the art design !!! :3

I like the gameplay; was a bit frustrated because i felt too slow, but then i switched to Pipestrella and now not even rogue spaceships can catch me!

Also, music so goooooood, different music songs that fit together perfectly.

Well done, yall

I'm happy you like it!!

From the "too slow" comment, I'm guessing you started off with Tennis & Fitz - those two were frustratingly slow even for me! I guess that's the price of having high HP, though.

Thanks for the music compliments! This was a genre I hadn’t really explored before but I gave it my best shot and it paid off ^^ Kappa did an amazing job too!

Writing music and making sound design for this game was fun. I got inspired right away, when I saw first frame. Instafiz did really well too imho. This quick project was really enjoyable. I'd do another one in a breath.
