That was alright! The mechanics are competent. The monster is charming! The soundtrack is cool.
With how long the level is, starting over from the beginning on death seems a bit harsh. A checkpoint or two might be warranted.
All-in-all, good work!
Loved the sections where you got to tunnel run, very frantic!
This is overall a very solid entry, the chase idea was cool but I tend to get so far ahead that I can take my time with a few jumps but still was fairly tense. the art and audio is well made and it feels fairly game-boy like. nice to see another GDevlop entry too but yeah a very solid game, well done
A lot of fun! The music was wicket, very spooky! Trying to escape the monster was very scary! The jumping was a little too pixel perfect, but I soon got the hang of it in the end!
Oh wow, that has got to be my fav monster so far!! It's hard to not squirm when it catches up with you! And massive thumbs up to the theremin-style lead in the groovy soundtrack. I wish I was better at gameplay so I could hear more of it! Awesome work team-BtB!
I love seeing other GDevelop games. Gameplay loop is difficult, but not unforgiving. Great job! I think a score/time leaderboard would work really well here to help with replayability/competition and have it more like a speedrun. Keep it up!
Very cool! Love the monster design, gravity might have been a little strong? The jumping took a bit to get used to but then I figured it out. Thanks for making this!
The music was awesome. I'm terrible at runner games, but it kept me going. The level design was fun, challenging, and fair. My favorite part was how I saw more and more of the beast as I made it through the level. Like at first, I just saw the big head, then later I saw the body. It kept me looking back to check it out more, which sometimes resulted in me dying. LOL. Really nice job. I enjoyed playing this.
Gold music vault was the one who made the awesome music.
In classic runner style, I died so many times I lost count. But each time, I made it a little further, and that felt rewarding. In some areas (like the first thirteen coins), the flow was excellent. I also enjoyed the creative ways the game tripped me up. If you're used to going over the trees, the next one has spikes on top. The vertical tunnels give the beast a chance to catch up, adding extra tension. It's a pity you don't get a score when you die. I worked hard to collect coins, but in the end, it didn’t seem to matter. Still, I had fun playing this game. Keep it up!
