amazing man
made sure to give a rating!
can you check out my game to?
I like the graphics so much!
Pretty well executed! Though I will agree with some of the other comments that it would be nice if the camera was more zoomed out. I am a huge fan of the paper-craft graphics
Nice game, The idea is good but most of the time i can't see what ic comming, maybe zoom out with the camera and it would be better, Good luck !
Congrats for your very 1st jam and finished project!
I like the crinkled paper style like if the ball runs on a collage :) I find it a bit slow at charging. Maybe there're some improvements to make with the size of your pics.
Good job!
I liked the visuals, but I wish I could say that about the audio :/ Anyway, it feels kinda weird how all works on space, as I pressed pause unintentionally a couple of times, but the game is okay, and it could certianly use some better music
Nice one, though I'd wish to see more of the play area instead of smashing on to the spikes that surprise me :D
Also fine tuning the game is in order as it quite often starts stuttering and getting slow downs.
Otherwise, very well incorporated theme and enjoyable relaxing game play.
I'm glad you uploaded an executable, the index failed to load for me. It was a bit awkward that it was an install instead of a folder, but I'll live with it.
This is very cool! Some of the menu interactions were awkward, but the one-button control worked very well. I'm fond of ball-rolling platformers, and this was a good execution of that.
I love the art! It's saturated, but easy-looking. The older music fit very well with it.
The camera was a bit claustrophobic. I think it could be zoomed out just a tad.
Great work!
Gives me a sad face and a gray page saying the game couldn't be loaded. Tried yesterday, today also the same. Don't have time to try the exe sadly. I wont rate as I can't play it yet.
I love the cohesive visual design! Was afraid the level solutions might get a touch stale, but then you switched up the level design and made it so that you really had to explore to find the exit.
Great experience!
Nice art but I have a lot of white screens, I'm not sure if it's normal...
really nice game
From the weak points is that sometimes level reboot hangs and at the times games really slows down where you either reboot or slowly fly in space.
Overall, great job!
Thank you so much for the reply! I think too that the hold to restart mechanic need it more polishing. I wanted to include the pause menu, but the restart become more slow that way.
I feel very happy for you to have played and give me this awesome feedback. Your game is one of my favorites in this jam, very cool!
The graphics are really good. The only problem I faced is that it felt a bit unresponsive, though that may be intentional, and when I didn't immediately release space it would just fade to white. The idea is very good. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for playing it, and replying! Yeah, I think that the controls needed more work, but don't have all the control, maybe is something that more contributes to game, I don't know, more testing is something interesting to figure it out. The fading to white is something that I thought as a way to give feedback to the player that the game will pause soon.
I'll try to keep it up, and hope you will too! :) I really think that your game has an interesting potential, as a managing game, in a harsh and violent world. Really cool!
It's quite hard!I was able to finish the fourth level but had trouble with the next one too. For some reason, the game faded to white a lot, even during gameplay, and I had a lot of trouble starting the game from the title screen, but that may be just me. As a physics one button game, I thinks it's really cool!
Thank you for the response! Yeah, I think the controls needed more polishing too, I should actually redo the entire thing, to be more smooth and all. The idea was click to invert gravity, hold to pause. In menus, click to cycle between options, and hold to select and go to another scene. The fading white was the way I could manage to inform the player that he/she was going to another scene. If the player don't hold to long enough, the white vanishs, and the game goes normally. Another thing that it should have was an option in the pause menu to restar the level. But this is how game jams go, I guess hahaha
Oh, I forgot to mention, but I'm a huge fan of the visual style! It reminds me a bit of origami 🙂 Yeah, I found myself long-pressing space way too much during gameplay, as if it would lift the ball quicker (even though I know it wouldn't!), but I think with updated controls your game will be even more fun.
Hmm, when I tried to load the game it gives me the grey frowny face? Did something happen?
Geez, I don't really know why. Did you try to refresh the page? Maybe is better to use the downloadable version, if refresh don't work... Thank you for trying it!
Did like 4 first levels and liked it. Then in 5th level I think the map was too big and I didn't really know where I am going, so that's where I had to give up. I had fun though, it's a nice game.
Thanks for playing it! You are absolutely right. On level 5, I tried to apply all the gameplay that was on the other levels, but I think I went too far. I thought that I should have put some arrows, guiding the player on the last level, but I didn't have the time, and was already tired. On post Jam update I will fix it.
Good try, keep it up :)
Thank you for playing it and rated it! I sure will play your submission
I'm genuinely impressed by the unique graphic style of your game. Did you create all the graphics yourself, or did you source them online? As for feedback, I'd suggest focusing on refining the gameplay and the player's reaction time. Increasing the player's speed of response could significantly enhance the overall experience of your game. Additionally, adjusting the camera placement slightly farther from the scene might also contribute positively to the gameplay.
really nice game love the graphics
(could you also check out my game would really appreciate it https://itch.io/jam/gdevelop-game-jam-4/rate/2216257)
Thank you, man! I really tried to focused on that, because I didn't get fancy on the gameplay
I'll play your game now
