One of the best games I tried. Very nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We appreciate it.

You could definitely publish this game! Simple yet fun! Loved the slowly growing sun in the background.

Developer(+2)

Thank you! We really should consider spending a few months to make this into a full length game.

This is absolutely one of the best games of the jam

Developer(+1)

Thank you! There is many great games in this jam and we were happy just to participate.

Consider expanding and sell this game, you would sell thousands copies. I can imagine playing it on a Nintendo Switch IT'S SO ******* AMAZING

Thank you! Very kind words! Making a full length game that we spend a few months on could be very interesting and we will definitely have to consider that.

Beat it with 10 seconds left! Dope music. Gravity and wall grab mechanics were smooth. I like that the rotation was at scripted times and not just random.

Developer

Wow congrats! We love that people are having close calls because it means you get to experience the song really building up, the sun getting bigger, and the screen tinting orange. Thank you for your kind words!

Good job. One of the best so far. Controls were good and so was the humour.

Developer

Thank you!

Nice game, but I couldn't beat it because I had to start from the beginning whenever I'd hit something. Kind of frustrating. Please make nerf the lava so casuals can play.

Developer

Thank you! It definitely is tough if you have not played many platformers before, but you will get better if you keep practicing! :^)

Fun game with snappy controls. I like the added touch of the sun slowly getting closer in the background!

A simple idea implemented very well.

Great implementation of the rotation mechanic! It is well integrated and not like some forced gimmick. For example, the robotic voice announcing the direction is both informative and helps sell the vibe. One of the many smart design choices you've made in this game! I loved playing it, hope you had fun making it :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for all the kind compliments! We had a great time making this and hope to participate in many more game jams!

I loved that it wasn't a randomly selected turning mechanic but an integral part of the way the level's were designed. From a strictly playable perspective it makes more sense to have like a visual UI cue that shows where rotations will happen to make it 'fair' but it's wayyyy cooler for the experience that you don't know what to expect. Also really pretty game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! It definitely would be interesting to make a version of this game where the triggers for rotation are visible to the player, but we decided not to go that route  by using invisible areas to match the theme better.

Submitted

Nice concept! I really like it that it doesn't turn by random. Well done!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! It was important to be able to incorporate rotations as part of the level design.

I liked it, simple idea and good execution!

Developer

Thank you!

This is absolutely amazing. Reminds me of N+, snappy controls, fun art with some spirit, and a great track. The spirit of the game is great and you get a sense of the joy and mischievousness of gaming. This deserves some recognition, especially for how put together it is in the 48-hour time frame. Cheers.

Developer

Wow! Thanks so much for your support! We're really happy that we could add some humor in the time frame and give the game some life. Cheers!

I absolutely love how the sun gets bigger as it goes on, that and the timer being present in the top left at all times creates a really great sense of tension. The story is also very fun. Great job!

Developer

Thanks so much! Fun fact: the sun actually uses a flat texture and rotating it causes that wiggly effect, a cool effect we found during development!

Wow, that's an amazing way to save time, I didn't notice it wasn't just animated normally and it looks great. Nice job.

On all fronts, a phenomenal entry: awesome artwork, a whimsical story, and solid gameplay that embodies the theme. I think the attention to adding a opening and closing cutscene puts this a mark above the rest as a jam game. Bravo!

Developer

Thanks so much!

Super polished and a lot of fun! The timer and the rotations made for a really tense experience. I can see a final version of this being really good for speed runs, and it might be nice to build in some rewards or something for finishing with a certain amount of time on the clock.

I did finish with quite a bit of time left (but this is the only jam game I've finished so far!). Maybe in a final version that can be tightened up, and maybe add in some optional checkpoint rooms where you can activate a reverse thruster or something that will push the space station away from the sun for a bit and extend time that you otherwise wouldn't have enough of.

Great, stylish visuals, too. I took your advice on the fullscreen. :-)

Really really cool! Nice job.

Developer

Those are all incredible ideas! We like a good challenge and so we're really happy that the game has speedrunning potential in it!

The first time the ship rotated it was nuts, but then I found myself waiting for it to happen to make play easier...nice job!

Developer

Thank you!

Very polished!  Found having to wait for the ship to turn a bit frustrating, but the controls are tight.  Great work!

Developer

Thanks!
