Nice job managing to create all that sound, art and gameplay in 48 hours! It needs some polishing, but overall very nice concept. I would add some checkpoints because it was really hard for me ;)
Nice game! I really liked how you were in basically a "casing mode" until you collected the coin, then had to run back with a bunch of obstacles (spoilers I guess sorry?). Wall jumping is always a great mechanic and I think you guys implemented it well. I'm not sure if you were going for this, but the spikes can be very difficult to see which was a bit frustrating at times. Maybe I'm just bad :P I learned to look out for them after the first level and a half but still sometimes found myself accidentally triggering it then it just becoming a memorization thing. I also got stuck in the ground twice lol, pictured below. The art and music are really nice and overall I enjoyed the game quite a bit. That parallax background is 🔥🔥 Great entry!
Thank you so much for the nice words! Yeah, sorry about the getting stuck thing, it is a bug :/. But after the jam there will be a update, with 2 more levels, checkpoints and (hopefully) most bugs fixed (also this one). :)
Amazing game! I loved the twist when you collect the coin and the level gets out of control!
The pixel art is very charming and the animations are expressive.
Loved your game, nice job! :)
My thoughts on the character controls:
This isn't necessarily a bad thing, maybe just a personal preference, but I don't like how you slide off the side of ledges when you get too close to the edge.
Also, when changing directions, if you don't let go of a key, you will keep your momentum in the other direction, but if you let go briefly before moving again, you instantly stop and can turn around faster.
I think that it should either carry the momentum always or break it always, since then it's consistent and easier to understand how your inputs will move the character.
I know those points are pretty nitpicky, and really there is no right or wrong way to do it, just however you think feels the best.
Overall, I thought the game was good looking, polished, and pretty fun. I liked the music, especially the track for the 'out of control' segments.
Hey, thanks so much for the feedback! Actually, after playing the game the day after we submitted, I did not like those exact points (amongst others) either. But the two days were barely enough time to create everything and throw it into the game, so we did very little play testing. Maybe I change those things, once the voting period is over, because they bother me too.
Really like the art and the music. Also the game really fun!
Really enjoyed art and music!
For some reason WASD keys didn't work, bat arroe keys did.
Don't quite see the "out of controll" theme here :(
Love the idea of playing the stage safely and then playing it much less safely, would have loved to have seen more of that.
I also love the art style, the second level especially (I didn't make it past that level though unfortunately, holding Ctrl to wall cling was starting to get uncomfortable after 10+ minutes of playing). The background and foreground of the second level really wow'd me when I saw it, well done. :)
If it wasn't for the controls I probably could have played for ages (I was a big Super Meat Boy fan, and I see a lot of it in this). :)
Keep up the great work team!
Thanks! In hindsight it probably would have been better to just grab the wall, and fall down on ctrl. But I guess since we played it a couple thousand times during the weekend we developed the brain-muscle and didn't get that it might break someones fingers ;)

The art, music, and controls are very polished, but what is "out of control" about it is a bit lost on me. But it stands by itself as a solid standard platformer, which is great!
Ah, thank you for liking the game. The "out of control" parts this the stage when you picked up the coin, saws, and spike being to move and now has a hitbox, turn a peaceful stage to a chaotic mess => "out of control"~
Great presentation here, the wall jumping took a while to get used to, but an overall decent game! Good job.
Interesting! I feel it has a pretty loose connection to the theme. The WASD controls do not work for me, and the white spikes are really hard to see as the blend into the ground. Having the wall grab on a separate button feels a bit fumbly when trying to navigate the other controls. Other than that, a nice little platformer!
Thank you for liking the game, sorry for all of the problems you experienced during your playthrough~
Fantastic job on the art and music! Definitely a difficult platformer. The controls could have been a little sharper, and it was sometimes a bit difficult to distinguish between the foreground and background, but for a game made in 48 hours it's really good!
Loved the music, had some FF vibe : 3 The graphics are also really nice, with good animations which gives the feedbacks the player need. Quite difficult and troll-ish after you collect the piece, but i guess it's for the theme right ? :' )
It was a well presented game, but super frustrating (Can't say I wasn't warned). Sometimes it felt like there were a few blind jumps where I had no idea where I was going to land.
Really nice game. Great atmosphere.
This game was a lot of fun! Certainly lives up to the name of frustrating, haha. The two things that I found that took away from the experience were that sometimes when you died and clicked respawn it didn't work and I needed to exit the game and the spikes felt a little inconsistant. Other than that, I really liked the art (especially the second stage) and spent more time then I though I would to beat the second level (a checkpoint wouldn't hurt either). Great game!
Well, it's really difficult, I can't deny that. I'm also really bad at platformers so it's a bit out of my element. Nice music and sprites, though. Although you can't see spikes unless you looking for it really hard. I guess that was the idea?
Interesting game. Controls seem a bit off but I like the art style and it's cool how the room changes when you collect the coin!
The soundtrack is great!
The platforms felt a bit slippery. Also, the key bindings for the jump and the wall grab could have been better.
I really like the visual !
