Liked the game, cool and fun idea. I do wish the tutorial was A LOT faster, I just let it play it out while I tried another submission. Also, maybe a clear all commands button could do wonders. Solid submission, congrats!

Nicely done, loved the light touch of the wind particles, it's simple but gives this that bit of life. Looking forward to a follow-up with some more going on!

Also small QoL feedback - I found a couple times that I wanted to re-order my commands, but couldn't (I totally get why that'd be a pain to implement, just letting you know if you decide to revisit this)

Great design! Little overdone concept, but god it looks good. I really liked your interpretation of the concept. Good work

Really cool concept and a nice touch having a tutorial at the beginning to help you get up to speed. Although I missed the part that you could skip the tutorial until I think I was able to hit space bar to skip it (which i wanted to because I understood the mechanic soon as I saw it :D).

There's plenty of trial an error which can get annoying when you cannot see ahead and plan out your route . Still, pretty neat idea :D

AMAZING...!!

I really like the concept of this, I think it's a clever idea to do the whole "programming the character" thing. My only issue is that the tutorial was very slow moving and, as far as I could tell, there wasn't a way to speed it up. I hope you carry on with this because it's a great concept, in my opinion it just needs a little increase in the pacing. Great job though :)

Developer

Thanks… and yeah I will consider making faster especially the tutorial since it bothered a lot of people

This is a nice concept, although I feel like it's been done a lot before. (Although that may just be my distaste for this style of game in general.) The implementation is pretty good, there are a few improvements you could make (ability to switch order of directions without deleting a bunch of them is one I wished was there) but there was of course the 48 hour timeline to contend with so these issues are understandable.

Like others have said, I really wish you could pan the camera. The levels are already trial-and-error enough without the inability to plan ahead compounding that.

Beautifully designed!

Very nice execution. Would’ve loved a shorter intro/tutorial timing

I think so too... thanks for the feedback <3

Cool concept, could defensively see this being used to teach people the basics of programming. If you wanted to continue I suggest a way to have the player move the camera around the game space and give them only a specific number of tries to get to a checkpoint. You could give each section a star rating based upon the number of moves and trials to get there. You have a very nice idea and I would love to see it developed further. Good luck!

Ugh, trial-and-error gameplay.

Developer

I working on the game so that the player can see the whole level… then it'll be less trail and error (hopefully)… but I won't be able to upload it until the rating period  ends :(

Love the concept and the simplistic art style. Not being able to see the whole stage wasn't much of a problem for me because it feels a lot like regular coding. You only really know what to do when you get there.

loved it, as I said in my other comment, I'd love to see a panable camera but other than that - great job!

The concept is sublime and a very good take on the theme. The only problem I see here is that I don't know the layout of the stage beforehand, so I am constantly resetting to add another instruction at the end of the list in order to go a little more farther. Besides that, the game is cool and fun to play.

Developer

I thought about letting the player Inspect the level but at that point the code was already spaghetti enough and any new feature would be too hard  and needs lots of time to get done , so It just felt not worth it  :(

Thanks for the feedback

This is great, and quite fun to play.

Observed bugs:

UI doesn't fit on the screen, and I ran into a bug where the jump button got stuck in a weird state (kinda flickering) while dragging it.

Love it! aesthetic and gameplay is great, but I'm missing some subtle details here and there. Music would've been nice to have as well, but I understand that you didn't have time for that.

Developer

the music for me wasn't a time problem... It was a talent problem... I really don't know how to make any sort of music no matter the tools I use :(

Submitted(+2)

Definitely, cool concept and visuals. I couldn't get past second checkpoint though the timing is a bit off. Good job.

In 48 hours? Nice job man, this is incredible. The theme wraps around this nicely while not feeling overbearing and obnoxious. If I were to suggest, a bit of background music couldn't hurt, but for the time period, this is impressive. Good luck!

Developer

I really tried to make music for the game, But I suck at it...I ended up deleting the music cuz it made the game worse
