Cool idea! Destroying enemies was satisfying. Would love to have a score system

Developer

thanks! we will probably add score in the next update

Simple idea but fits well to the jam topic, good job! Shooting out the enemies felt very satisfying.

Developer

thanks!

Fun game! I enjoyed your use of the theme.

Very interesting entry!

Interesting concept! I'd love a timer or some sort of indicator to know when the switch is gonna happen, but you've got a great little seed of a game here. Good work!

Developer

thanks! timer is probably coming in the next update

Submitted

Nice! The fact that you can't control "hit" or "run" mechanics really makes you think where you'd want to point your mouse.

Developer

thanks!

Good idea. Having more feedback of when the transition between shoot and moving would be nice.

Developer

Thanks! we plan to add an indicator for that in the next update

Fun game, but extremely easy once you get the hang of it which took me only one try. After that it's just the same enemies and the same amount spawning all the time and the timer for the switch between movement and shooting seems to be the same all the time. A progressing difficulty and a score would spice up this game a lot(as well as different types of enemies)! Other than that, a solid entry to the jam! Well done!

If you want, please check out my submission.

Developer

we wanted to add score but ran out of time. we wanted to add some progression but couldn't tune it in time. score and a timer are already planned for the next update.

Thanks for the feedback though!

Really fun game. I wish the shoot/drive mechanics were more linked with my actions as the player. Good job!

Developer

like, when it switches? because aiming and movement are both based on the mouse and not being able to control when it switches is how its connected to the jam theme

Submitted

Ya the switching, I would prefer it not be 100% random. If there was something the player could do to try and prevent it, or to cause it, I think the combat would be a lot more engaging and you could develop some kind of strategy

Developer

switches are not at all random, it’s consistently every 3 seconds

Submitted

Simple and fun, good work.

Developer

thanks!

Submitted

Ahah nice game, i think it would benefit being a bit less random!

Developer

the only randomness is which corner the saws spawn in, and it shouldn't be possible for a saw to spawn in your corner

I like the simplicity of the controls and how easy it is to get it! nice!

Developer

thanks!

Submitted

Pretty simple but a cool mechanic.

And good job on making sure that the sawblades spawn outside of your view. Makes the game feel fair.

Developer

thanks! they can spawn in any of the 3 farthest corners, and the arena is too big for you to be anywhere near them when they spawn

Fun game. Destroying objects felt really satisfying. I think if there was some sort of indication that would tell you when you could shoot and move would help a lot. Also some sort of scoring system although I understand you were probably pressed for time

Developer(+1)

we wanted to add a score, and we plan to add both in the next update

thanks for the feedback!

Hey Oinykmoo!

Fun concept and good music choice.

Constructive thoughts:

- Add a point counter for kills.

- The concept of not having control over switching between drive and shoot is awesome, but i would usertest a countdown timer indicating when this switches. More predictability but still no control.

- Add obstacles on the map.

If you have time I would love it if you could try my game and give feed back. Its called Drone.

Developer

we wanted to add score and obstacles. Also, the mode changes are every 3 seconds, so it would just be constantly counting down

Submitted

Simple, neat idea. Some visual indicators like arrows pointing to enemies, and a timer showing when the switch between movement and firing happens would spruce up the gameplay, I think. And more enemy variety. But you got a loop done, at least! Keep it up!

Developer

a constant clock could actually work, because it changes every 3 seconds, too fast for a countdown. We didn’t actually think of the enemy location indicator. We wanted to add more enemies but ran out of creativity

Submitted

Really cool music. The controls were pretty good too, one thing i would add is a timer or something that gives you an idea of when the tank will shoot. Great work though!

Developer

it changes every 3 seconds, we might add a timer eventually

Submitted

My goodness that was out of control hahaha!

Developer

thanks!

Nice game!! A bit too loud for me wearing headphones. I like the concept, it's a cool idea!! You should polish it, great job!

Developer(+1)

we might do so once the judgment period is over
