Spin to win!

Nice game, I got to level 3 at best try. I think you could've made the aiming a bit better, maybe by adding power-ups like a pointer that would tell you where the bullet will exactly go, if you know what I mean. Otherwise, great job!

Developer (1 edit)

There is a laser pointer option that will help you aim in the options menu! (Escape, or settings in the main menu). If I had the chance now, I would've turned it on by default.

Thank you for your feedback!

Submitted

Oh sorry! Didn't notice that.

Developer

We wanted to turn the laser pointer on by default, but we kinda forgot

Submitted

Well, I see now, thanks for replying back though!

The idea is great and the art is good! However it is hard to play but overall well done for 48 hours!

Developer (1 edit)

If it felt too hard, the laser pointer in the options menu might help!

Indeed, we might've gone a little overboard on the difficulty... We played it so much that we got way too good at it and accidentally tuned the difficulty accordingly - what you see here was already tuned down three or four times from what we had! All of our playtesters had the same feedback.

Thanks for the feedback!

Yes I know what you mean. I' ve had the same problem but play testing your game from others might help to get rid of this problem.

I find myself playing so carefully in this game. haha

This indeed is a rare concept, and it is fun!

Submitted

Love the way you have to balance shooting different enemy types and aiming!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

Really Cool loved the concept and the idea you have two weapons!

Developer

Thank you!

pretty nice concept, althought the game gets boring after a while and the game needs some music...

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

no problem

Love it, can see this on the app store

My partner in crime's vehemently against mobile games, sadly, he's against publishing *anything* on mobile. Thank you!

Your game is really cool,  I like the single tower defense idea.  You should keep working on it! Add some game juice like another comment mentioned. Congrats on successfully submitting a game to the jam and I hope you learned a lot of new things.  Please check out my game when you have time :D

Developer

This jam was a blast, I think we did a dozen times better than last year's attempt. Will check out your game, thanks for the feedback!

I really liked the game. The 2 weapon system is the most interesting mechanic. I’m just missing some music and more juiciness when kill enemies. Good job!

Developer

Thank you! We decided early on we weren't gonna go for music, but it definitely would've been nice to have! I personally feel enemies are quite satisfying to kill at the moment - what do you think would make them more juicy to kill?

Submitted(+2)

Is hard to kill them so maybe a stronger explosion and sound effect. Maybe use a random pitch for the sound so the player will feel that is a new one and will believe that is receiving a different thing. Maybe a flash screen and frame freeze can help as well.

Thank you for the feedback and ideas!

very nice take on the jam them. Well done!

If you have time I’d appreciate if you could check out my game as well!

Developer

Thanks for playing our game!
I've returned the favor and gave your game a spin too.
I'll give it a rating when I get though my rating queue

Developer

Neat game! Left some feedback on your page. Thanks for checking out our game!

Very interesting twist in how the controls work, this feels like a 'shoot to move' (rotate) + 'out of control' combined together haha

Developer

Thank you!

Thank you <3!

I think having the rotation being the same for both clicks would benefit it. Cool game tho

Developer

You can try out the Reverse anti air weapon! It makes your left and right click rotate the same direction :)

Submitted

I like the concept, it was pretty hard at first but I eventually got the hang of it and then even started to have fun! The upgrades add a LOT of replayability to it. Overall, its a good job!

Developer

I'm really glad we were able to put the different weapons in! Thank you!

Submitted

fun and easy to start, I liked it. nice job!

Developer

Thank you :)

Very nice concept. Easy to understand and very engaging. The visuals are simple but nice and clean. I love the fact that you even had time to put in a volume slider :)

Overall great work; keep it up.

Developer

Thank you!

Yooooooo, lot's of fun, I like the whole idea and premise. I def wouldn't recommend playing with laser pointer so you can feel like a drunk mariner. One thing would be nice, seeing the cooldown on guns would be cool but that's a nit pick

Developer

Thanks! The laser pointer was made opt-in for that reason, during play testing a lot of players felt like it was too hard to aim :)

Showing the cooldown on guns was planned, but we just barely didn't get around to making it! Totally agree though!
