Nice idea and nice implementation! It was a bit difficult to control but I imagine that was intended as it added to the confusion. Very nice game good job!

This was a fun little game; I spent as much time randomly dragging around rocks and playing with it as I would a toy as I did actually trying to complete levels. The graphics worked well for it too; I especially liked how the connections would move and thin as you pulled rocks apart. Thanks for making this!
Thanks! I'm happy people see the submission as a toy and as a game. I usually start by making my projects more toy-like, then play with them and see what could be the gamey-part of it. Worked well this time :)

I honestly love the visual style and the sound effects are great. It's a super unique take on the theme that still feels good to play as a game. I didn't realize the pin was meant to hold the rocks till I checked the description after being unable to get rocks with larger fields apart, which is on me because I went back and checked, definitely missed the signs somehow 😂

Thank you! Other people have mentioned the pin as well. If i was to do the game again, i'd make rocks you can only disconnect of one of them is pinned. That way, you have to use the pin, and I can be sure the user knows how it works.
I really like how everything feels. pulling apart the rocks makes me feel like they have weight to them and that's awesome. I would love a visual line to show where the unused area like you showed in one of the levels but that's just a small nitpicky thing. The puzzles are also great because I learn a lot about how the rocks connect to different things. Lastly, I must comment that the pin is such a lifesaver. Before the introduction of the pin in the earlier levels I was dragging my mouse with great force to pull apart the rocks so thank you for preserving my sanity. :D

About the visual line: good point. a simple marking would have helped already i guess..
About the pin: it's easy to miss, especially if you skip levels. Maybe there should be a one-time pop-up/ingame message around the pin if you haven't used it in a while.

To be brutally honest here: I couldn't really get into it. Moving the rocks around feels really satisfying and the magnetic connections come with exactly the right amount of weight. However, the actual goal of replicating the given layout was a little too fiddly for my liking. That being said, the implementation feels really solid (especially so for a gamejam) and I really like the look of the game. :)
Thanks for your honesty! I agree it can feel very fiddly, and thats not something for everyone. Happy to hear your like the physical properties of the elements tho. Without the level restriction, the whole game itself is more of a toy, where you can just play around with the rocks. Like I mentioned in other posts, I think addint more mechanics would make the game more puzzle-y, but there was no time.
No worries, for the given time you did a really great job! And as a lot of other reviewers seem to enjoy the game quite a bit, it's probably safe to say that it simply isn't for me. ;)
Great game! I'd love to see this expanded upon with some kind of touch controls, maybe as a tablet game or something? Not that it was in scope for the jam, but it would feel really organic to push and pull these little rocks with my finger :)
Definitely! On my phone at least, if i load the game page in desktop-mode, it can run unity and use touch controls, but it's even more difficult than with the mouse ^^

Thanks! I'm a big fan of pixel art, but it can often take quite some time to get good sprites (and requires some skill^^), so I opted for a pixelate shader, and it works great.
The scanning thing was born out of neccesity - the comparison check code is very slow, so I wanted to run it only when neccesary.
About the logo: I guess these things happen when you don't sleep enough :D

Thanks :) I agree about the first levels. I didnt have enough time to add more features for the rocks, only the pearls from the later levels. Would be nice to explore the possibility space, like rocks that can only move when connected/not connected, rocks that only connect under certain conditions or so. Making it all a bit more puzzle-y
Ngl you could take this concept further.
Orbits and gravity in a space setting would definitely be my cup of tea.
Wow, this is a really cool concept with great execution and art. My only complaint is that I was able to get the correct configuration in a few levels just by swinging the rocks around wildly to break them apart. Other than that, I love the art and there are some really good and challenging puzzles. Awesome job!
