Well done! I really felt the "join together" theme in this one as you literally "join together" with another enemy to gain some powers that can protect the core. I also loved the style of the graphics, as it made everything pop out and have this satisfying feel. The music too added to the intense gameplay. Overall, this is a great entry which was really fun to play! :)

Nice concept and very good looking!

What a cool take on the theme, and the art and music is so good to get done in less than two days! It really gives me a vibe that it'd be a really good rogue-like with a whole bunch of nasty lore. Great job!

I think this one is really JOINED TOGETHER. I enjoyed this!

REALLY nice polish on the visuals here on top of an engaging concept--nice work! It was a bit strange that the enemies you control tend to move faster than the bullets they shoot. Good luck on the ratings!

An all around EXCELLENT game! Probably the game I've had the most fun from the game jam until now. Great concept and really engaging gameplay, everything is really polished I wouldn't be able to tell this is a jam game if not for the obvious circumstances.

Great visuals, concept, gameplay and music. Hope to see what you can make in the  future!

This was so much fun!!

I was a little confused on the tutorial at first because I thought the enemies were gonna look different from the husk I connected. But I restarted the game and realized I missed the part about "using them against their own kind." Once I got that, it all made sense!

I love how each enemy has a different attack you can use! Really adds to the fun of it! Also, music, graphics and level design are all fantastic.

The only thing I'd suggest is maybe a bit of a visual reduction or variety when the player is surrounded from all sides. I don't know if it was the lightning, the screenshake, or the fact that all the enemies were about the same color and exploding, but at that point it felt a little too chaotic. I didn't realize I could still get out and thought it was just a death animation... so maybe just a tad less there could really help orient the players, at least in the early levels :)

Also, as much as I love the idea of being chained to the husk forever, (very metaphorical!) logistically, it might be nice to have a feature where you can eject the husk to pick up a different one (perhaps it could be like a charged special attack, so it's not overused), since some of the enemies, particularly the 4-direction projectile ones, are a little hard to aim.

Really, really awesome work with this game! Best of luck in the jam!

I really like a lot of these suggestions, especially the ejecting mechanic. I did actually try to make that mechanic but it got so buggy and I didn't have enough time to flesh it out before the jam was over so that was unfortunate. I was gonna call that mechanic "accept" as well to add to that metaphorical theme lol. If I do come back to this, I'm definitely gonna take a lot of your advice, thanks for the good feedback!

Super cool idea and super well executed! I want to praise it, but it's so beatiful I don't even know where to begin! I feel this one deserves to be in the top 20! Simply amazing!

This game is really polished, unique, great looking and most importantly fun! For a game made in 48 hours this is great! (btw I did find a bug where I ended up out of bounds, screenshots attached. Not sure exactly why it happened or if you are aware of it, but I think it was caused by the character I was attached to dying as I walked into a wall.)

The mechanic is so unusual(if you pull the enemy to yourself, you can control them) and visuals are perfect as well. I loved the game

This game is so original, the mechanics where you can "absorb" the enemies abilities is so cool. Also, this is one of the most visually polished game I've played in the jam, the art is so cool and the lighting and postprocessing is superb. Also, really neat tutorial. A very good game, congratulations!!

Very fun bullet hell game, the copy mechanics are so cool, and all the screen shake and dramatic effects are very well polished, love this one

This is actually a fairly decent dungeon-crawler-ish game with beautiful aesthetics and a strong feeling when playing.

Not much to complain about it besides one little thing. Whenever you walk around a corner your character tends to get hooked at that corner. I do not know if its intentional but the narrow ways make it difficult to navigate when chain-bound and slow down the game a bit.
