I love combining things! It's so satisfying to smash them together. The mood of the game is really special. The music really fits the mood. Good stuff.

I really like the idea. Grabbing stuff is a bit unintuitive, as others have said. But really interesting all the combos that could be made.

Great idea! Very original! I agree with most commenters that the aiming could have been better!

Submitted(+1)

Quite a fun idea! I don't think I can add much to the comments that already exist (hit detection a bit tough and some combinations are tough to figure out) but I like the settlement building up as you're going along

I really liked this concept! And linking things together and seeing an outcome and the progress of the city was cool.

Two problems:

The linker being a raycasted line and not just where I'm pointing is annoying, I kept grabbing things I didn't want. In fact, it may have been better to just not have moving around be a thing, just click on two objects on the screen.

The possibilities for combinations are limitless, and the combinations I would come up with in my head are not the same as yours. Sometimes combinations would make sense, fire and beef make a steak. But sword and bush make cactus? Abstract thinking there, and it lead me to things like, maybe fire and snowman would make water, or stone and guitar would make rock music. It was really hard to think of combinations to do.

Good concept, would love to see it in a more fleshed out game.

Developer

Thanks Baked Orange for the quality feedback. I think those two problems are spot on! I think foe sure those are two areas we really want to improve the experience in as we continue to work on the game!

We have been debating just doing the direct selection process or using a modified version of what we have now that is less janky. We'll probably playtest and see what feels better

And yea the possibilities part is a bit "imperfect" at the moment. We have some really cool ideas on how to improve the system to have more "sensical" combos while also having some unique and fun to discover "non-sensical" combos.

Awesome Feedback! Thanks for checking out our game and for the insight on how we can improve. We really appreciate it!

Cool game, Really like the concept. Feels a bit like the Little Alchemy game. due to it being 3d it is sometimes difficult to aim the shots (maybe 2d or first person ?) but otherwise great game.

Developer (1 edit)

You are so right Ender29, it definitely has that Little Alchemy vibe. Definitely feel we took inspiration from that game too! And 110% agree with you about aiming. We hope to fix how that is all handled in the future for sure. Great feedback! Thanks much for playing!

So much content! This is impressive!

The only problem I have with the concept is the thing I love about it.. People can link stuff in their heads and expect an outcome, this is limitless. However, as a dev (espacially in a jam) you are limited.

I had a bug where the object stayed at the air, but that's fine.

Well done!

We totally agree with that Dedi6. It's greatest strength can be its greatest weakness. Players are pleasantly surprised by some outcomes and not-so-pleasantly surprised by what would feel like obvious combos. I think getting feedback like this is great because it really puts things in perspective. We are planning to continue to work on the game so this is good critique to hear. Thanks for sharing and playing!

Some combinations that felt obvious gave nothing, like snowman and fire. Picking stuff up was hard and janky. That said, the concept was awesome. Putting a little alien nonsensical fun on the scribblenauts formula

Developer

That's so true Zucchini5 because since we established some rules about how items are created, not having more obvious combinations can kinda make the game feel frustrating. We had soooo many more combos in mind but time was limited but I think putting some more "natural" combos would be make it better. And oh man, We loove being nonsensical and if we had another day, we would have had some really wild stuff in there. We are hoping to keep working on this so hopefully some more of the wacky will shine through even more. Thanks for the great feedback and checking out our game!

Nice game! It was interesting to see this kind of game in 3D. The models were nice to see and I loved watching the area around me slowly be built up. I think maybe some sound effects would be really nice, but great work overall!

I think you are so right randomerz! I feel like the right type of audio design would make our game feel soooo much better! We definitely want to keep working on this so that's great feedback. Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts and feedback. Truly appreciate it!

I'd love to see this expanded with more combinations! Good job!

Developer

That's great to hear, JustWinginIt! We have had so much fun designing and developing it we were thinking about expanding but weren't sure if we should, so thanks for encouraging us to do so! And Thanks for checking it out!

Cute!  A lot like doodle gods with the combing things to get new things mechanics.  The tether is hard to operate and I kept grabbing the wrong thing from the pile of things that develops. Overall though, great game!

Developer

😁 We appreciate that team Jumbo! Definitely feel like we were inspired by Doodle God type games even if we didn't realize it! And agreed on the tether. 100% will be reworking that especially with our current physics approach. Things being so close together and stacking can make it a chore to use. Wish we had a bit more time because that is top of our list! Thanks for the great feedback and playing our game!

I really like the idea and the execution, I had a lot of fun with it

I dig it! I'm getting some serious Katamari and Everything vibes!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks so much Worthing! Those are massively kind words. To even be mentioned in the same universe as Katamari is truly flattering. Thanks for checking out our game!
