Is there no progression of the story or anything? Ive hidden and gone back to playing the game on the computer a bunch of times now and nothing has changed in the slightest

too spooky :o

WASD and X aren't working for me and I'd appreciate if you never used that particular warning tone in a game again. I swear I could hear my headphones rattling. I love the premise though and would love to try it when I can!

Nice game. You did a good job setting the scene and creating a disturbing atmosphere. Wish there was a way to win, though, but I get that you only had time to do so much. Nice experience overall, though :)

Submitted

The atmosphere is great, but the game itself is very repetitive

I love that you can make a horror game in a 48 hours game jam, this is very creepy! Top notch presentation, atmosphere, and general art style.

Cant wait to see the gameplay & the story get expanded should you decided to continue, coz right now you can hide in the bedroom, continue onto the computer, rinse & repeat, and you will be fine. But this is already a great foundation, it has so much potential! Really nice work! :)

Great job capturing the atmosphere with these simple graphics. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but the boogeyman always gets me even when I'm hiding. Is there something I'm missing?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing it! If you hide after he spawns he always finds you. You have to hide when you hear the stairs creak or you can run to a different floor and try to hide.

I also agree with some comments. We really need a plot here, otherwise the game can feel a bit bland. Visual and sound are beautifully done.

This is the kind of surreal experience I aspire to make one day.
Really impressed.

Well done.

BTW, Would love for you to try my game too.

It is an Action Platformer with unique controls.

Teaser:

A significant improvement on the FNAF formula, but I hated FNAF so idk. The pixel art is cute, and I really like having a frantic reflex type game you constantly want to get back to while you try to hide from the monster, but I kind of wish there was something to do on the other two floors.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Originally there was going to be something to do on each floor but unfortunately I ran out of time and had to scope down.

The presentation is awesome, but I wonder if I miss something, it feels like there should be a sort of plot going on with the chat and all, but besides the premise it doesn’t go too much forward.

Would love to have it expanded upon though!

Developer

Originally I wanted I wanted there to be more interaction with the texting but being a solo team I just ran out of time.

Oh yeah that’s understandable, I think you’re on something though, and adding said interactions could make for a rather good game I think

The strength of your game is definetly the atmosphere. On my first playtrough i really freaked out by the Boogeyman and by the parents of the player character. There are so much detail and love put in the pixel art, it is unbelivable.

However i missed the theme in the general gameplay. I understand the connection to annie, but that was only shown to me through the plot.

Overall i think this is a pretty good and creepy game. Great work.

The art is really awesome!

Really great color palette.

Neat art style and palette!

I like the odd feel. Not clear how you're supposed to leave the computer and hide under the bed, since neither the X key nor the crosses in windows didn't do anything.

Developer

Hmmm, that's a weird bug. It all works fine on my build. Could you send your specs if possible?

Submitted

The X did work on the first "warning window" that showed up, but not on any other window. I'm using Windows 7, not sure what else to tell you.

Developer(+1)

oh you need to hit the x key on your keyboard

Submitted

Adore the art style!  Cool concept too.  The gaming while the world falls apart is too real lol.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! I took inspiration from real life and made it more extreme

Super great art!

Thank you!
