Very impressive work with both a opening cutscene and ending. The difficulty curve of the levels is a little off I felt but fun overall. Very nice with the different combinations though I do wish there was some less obvious answers to things as most of the levels basically boiled down to do the only thing you can.
All that said, I finished the game, only got stuck and had to restart one, and had a lot of fun. Really well done.
Really cool game! A lot of levels, good level desing. I can say one of the better games for this jam!
This is a really nice game. I was surprised just how many levels there for a 48-hour jam. I have a problem with the game's colorblind accessibility. It was really difficult to figure out what blocks required what abilities to pass through. There were symbols on the orbs and on the "use ability" blocks (though the water drop on the boxes were too small, IMO), but not on the general blocks. The game could use non-color cues for these blocks. Also, putting shooting on the mouse button without any mouse aiming stands out as an odd choice to me. I got used to it, but it still seems like an odd controls choice to me.
Thanks for the feedback! We had an entire team member pretty much just doing level design, and he did amazingly! We are switching the shooting to a different button for the post-ham version. We are aware of the symbols being small on objects and do plan on fixing that. The color blind is also something we are talking about fixing.
Thanks again for the amazing feedback!
Great game a very polished, and the puzzles didn't get me stuck until one of the later ones, but for a game jam game that's great :)
Everything about this game is nearly perfect. Nice and cute art, nice sounds and music, and a good rise in the challenge. I like that you can merge to create other elements (or colors), and have to solve problems that way. I think the only thing missing is to add more levels, perhaps with introducing more elements to eventually get into a really challenging level to finish off strong.
Overall, again, really good.
I really like the art and music for this game! Overall it's a pretty relaxing game that gradually builds up. It's always cool to see a game where you can't really screw up in a way that causes you to lose (as far as I can tell at least), but instead you might take a path that's unnecessary or longer than it needs to be. Great job!
Really cute~ It was fun solving the different puzzles!
Gotta love the hype of the music at the end of the game tho XD
I really liked the art style of merging! It made it feel like it really fit the theme smoothly.
This game has an adorable artstyle and really solid overall presentation, I enjoyed the mechanics of not only swapping between characters, but, combining them as well, it's a great concept and it'd be cool to see it developed out further. Nice work!
sweet little babies
I quite liked the merge/split mechanic and loved tha character animations too. I felt the game was too straightforward, not much puzzle, just finding the right doors.
I love the gorgeous art of all the adorable characters XD(although their idle animations freak me out a little bit). I enjoyed the unique, well-fleshed out mechanics and level design. The extremely amazing intro at the beginning of your game was put together magnificently. :]
Very fun game, I really liked all the visuals. I think it was hard to design all these levels when you have that many combinations, so props to you for this kind of level design when you have to constantly change between characters and merge them.
I loved the spriteart! The concept was really original too! One thing I wish I could do was use a three-button scheme for choosing your character, like Q for fire, E for thunder, and R for ice, so I could swap between them more efficiently. You all did a great job!
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll see if we can implement something like that in the post-jam version!
I really liked the cartoonish /comic introduction. The visuals were really clean. The concept was also really cool. Good Job!
Very ambitious concept, yet you managed to make quite a few impressive level designs! Great job!
All the animations and gameplay are at x2 speed for me due to my 144hz refresh rate monitor. Code should be linked to frame rate, or at least capped. I worked around it by forcing my monitor to 60hz for the time being.
Yeah that was an issue we found very late in the development period. We found it to be that V-Sync was still enabled in the project settings and it ignores the frame cap for the web build for some reason. We turned V-Sync off and capped the frame rate for the post jam version but couldn't get it up in time. Thanks for making it work! Hope you enjoyed!
Amazing! Your game are very fun ^^
I'm absolutely impressed by the quality of the levels. Very nice job, 10 levels and none of them felt boring to me. And it's impressive how you carefully crafted it in a way that you don't get "hard stuck".
Very clever idea and level design! Art and sound also set the mood nicely! Great jam game, congratz! It's my favorite so far!
