Great game, this must have been a lot of work! I like how simple the concept is, yet there is a lot to it. The in-game tutorial messages worked pretty well. The controls feel good and firing the harpoon to grab things is a fun mechanic. The graphics and music nicely set the atmosphere.
The Hitbox on the bigger versions of the ship seemed smaller than I expected, but I guess that is on purpose?
Overall great concept and great execution!
Awesome game! We really likedupgrading the boat, it was really fun and we loved shooting the enemies! thank you! :)
Awesome game! Loved the mechanics and how it tied in with the theme. Could have done with a little more polish but the core game was there and working well. Great submission : )
You can really tell that there worked a lot of people on this, its so polished and has pretty, self-made music, good job :)
So... The thing I always complain about when playing jam-games is that in most cases you have either a good Idea or a polished game. Which makes sense since you have more time for polishing when the idea is not that original.
But this game got both! The idea is good AND you somehow managed to create all these (very nice) graphics. You have my deepest respect for that.
Only thing to complain is that it got difficult really fast and nearly impossible to manage (or maybe I was doing something wrong). After building the cannon ship suddenly 10-15 other cannon ships approached me and destroyed my cute little ship.
This game is so perfect. Simple gameplay but make me can't stop playing
Amazing game, the harpoon feels very satisfying. I feel like with more polish and content this could be great full game. Would love to see it fully realized.
really addictive game, so well polished, beautiful to look at, great music. Top stuff.
really good :D love the art and gameplay and the idea is awesome :))
Loved the game you did a really good job! The take on the theme was very interesting and I could see a full game of this!
Nice game! The music made it feel nice and relaxing. I seemed to be able to unpause the game on the main menu by pressing ESC and was able to play without actually clicking Play. I'd try beating the game like this, but the compass doesn't appear when the main menu is up lol
Love it! Really cute! Had a lot of fun,
Most likely one of my favourite games I've encountered thus far. It's really pretty, relaxing and fun. The music is great and the gameplay is very self explanatory. Great job!
A nice relaxing game. Really good job on the art and music. Maneuvering the boat was fun. Is there something that indicated my health? I didn't see any. I would have loved to be constantly harpooning, rather than kinda stopping once the ship was built.
I wish the game was just a little harder. Once I got the cannons it was smooth sailing. If the squids didn't slow down as much when I shoot them maybe.
I think my main problem is once I got all the pieces to my ship it just became a matter of going from map piece to map piece. I would really like to constantly use that harpoon.
Anyways, good job!
Fun game! I love how your maneuverability increases as you build your ship. Nice work!
It's very relaxing, I like it.
Music and art was great. Got a bit hectic towards the end with all the different ships trying to kill me at once (I lost one time D:).
I couldn't help but pick up everything :P. Did collecting other people do something? Or picking up extra scrap wood once your ship was at maximum level?
Brilliant idea and execution, I loved sailing around and when I was trying to harpoon things and shoot enemies it was really hectic!
