i really like the concept and the execution, quite easy though

I really enjoyed playing this one! Reminded me of some 90s platformer shooters. The characters were funny, enemies too and the whole action had a great dynamic vibe, it felt alive! One thing though, I didn’t really understand whether there are any reason not to listen to Mike. I alway listened to him and the constant healing made the game quite easy.

Developer

thanks! Yeah, I definitely shouldve included descriptions of the items so you had more info about which are worth picking

un gioco che lo definirei praticamente perfetto sotto tutti gli aspetti. ottimo lavoro

In the future I would like to see more emphasis on procedural generation and maybe make the game a bit easier, but I understand that we only had 48 hours, and for that, I think this game was impressive! One of the most fun games in the jam imo. Good job!

That was definitely one of the most fun games I played from this jam! Cute idea and very well executed. Well done! :)

thank you!

The levels seem to be randomly selected each run so that gives it some replayability. Kudos on that. Also, the game forces me to choose between whether to keep my partner happy or to choose the stronger weapon. Sometimes, you can't have both and that makes the game interesting.  Good job :)

the art are bizarrely cute!

I really, really enjoyed playing this game! The concept of having to choose one or the other is really really neat, though I wish there were more advantages to going against what the guy said (sorry I forgot his name). In the game's current state I can just do whatever he wants and succeed pretty easily, but other than that the art, concept, and execution are really really good. Great job!

Good!

Very original and quirky concept! Super Addictive! Also, it would have been better if there was some info about the gun options we had to choose.

This is super cool! Making a whole rogue-lite in 2 days must've been a big undertaking. My biggest gripe has already been mentioned: That there is really no incentive to go against Mike's wishes (Other than getting revenge for stealing my girlfriend. He's a real ladies man). Other than that, I love the art style, powerups, and general concept. Fantastic work!

Developer

thank you! Yeah, definitely bit off more than I could chew

Submitted

Well you seemed to chew it nice in good, because what you spat out is very, very good!

Developer

haha thanks so much

I enjoyed the humor and the gameplay was good, but I felt like there was never a reason to not go with Mikes preference since I had no info about what the items did.

Developer

yeah you're right, my bad lol

Great sense of humour in that game I love it. The sound FX are fun and the graphic are well done. That the easiest game I install so far, one file, nice :-)

This one was fun. Love the sense of humor, and the roguelike elements. Though at first I always listened to Mike because it was hard to guess what the powerups do.

Developer

Thanks! And haha wow, you are definitely right, it would've been a much better if I'd labelled the powerups.

Wow! Really enjoyed this one. The art is very unique and impressive for a short jam, and the way everything bounces and squishes slightly in the animations really helps with the game feel. The sound effects also compliment this. The concept interested me a lot, too, with a  lot of potential for a larger game. I personally made sure to keep Mike very happy during my run, and hope that their jarred food business goes well for them!

Developer

thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!

I think your interpretation of the theme is very creative. There's a lot of potential for other things Mike could give his opinion on if you were to expand upon this idea, such as which path to take at a split in the map or which enemies to kill/spare. Overall, I found your game to be very original and fun to play through, well done!

Developer

thank you! Yeah, I initially planned for their to be branching paths which he'd have an opinion on but I realized it would take too long
