Really cool and polished game. I'm always happy to find ones with heavier focus on the story.

I tried not giving that lady what she wanted, but she kept insisting :(

I like how you came up with such colorful characters to visit the and it's insane how much you've gotten done in this short time. The art is on point and the music is nice and atmospheric. Great idea!

I was excited, I really thought poison would be a way to implement a powerful, thought-provoking binary yes/no choice through clever in-game mechanics instead of dialog options. I seriously considered giving her the poison, I spent some time thinking, decided I wouldn't, then thought if I kept giving her other drinks (maybe if I made one that altered her mood in a specific way) she would relent. It's just kind of disappointing that you set up the pieces so perfectly for that but it wasn't actually a mechanic.

Poison is really the most interesting aspect of the whole game. There are other games like yours, but none with something like that. I wish I got to see the people in your game's universe who can legitimately drink it unharmed. I wish the assassin could detect it because of his work experience. I know that wasn't the point of the game, but it would be fascinating to see the consequences of using such a bizarre ingredient.

This is a fantastic game with a lot of a polish, and deserves to be seen by more people. I loved the mechanic and the clever use of the theme, and I loved the cocktail making mechanic. For the story, it would be great to have more of an impact. It felt that I could have made anything and it wouldn't matter. I fed the assassin poison and nothing changed. I tried to NOT feed the second woman poison, and nothing changed. But a very good game that could be something great. The art was fantastic too!

Thank you for your kind comment and feedback! We hope to add more to the game post-voting that should hopefully increase the impact of the story. And as the artist of the game, I'm extra glad to know people enjoyed the art!

Very interesting and aesthetically pleasant, I enjoyed it a good deal!  It was fun that you could essentially make whatever YOU chose.  I haven't had time to do more paths yet but I'll keep it around ^_^
I could add that if you did end up updating it it'd be nice to have some sort of preview indicator of how much room you need for the various extras, and that it'd be nice for click to work as well as spacebar to advance text.  Maybe even an additional polish suggestion would be that the messages telling you you can't do whatever you just tried would be nice if they didn't need to be actively dismissed but just appeared without hindering your next action ^_^
But honestly this is already a great experience.  Thank you!!

Nice presentation, I did find it a bit frustrating to have to refill every time i screwed a drink up. other than that, nice game!

okay game, have you heard of va1-ha11a?

pretty much the same concept but there's a lot of design elements that complete it

i don't really like the fact that you have to hold an ingredient to pour it in with no reference to how much it fills

Nice game! The concept is really interesting and from what I saw, the graphics and audio are pretty good. However, I couldn't get past the first part (tutorial) as the game didn't really fit my screen so I can't add ice cubes or mix them as the buttons are out of view. Maybe include something to change the dimensions of the game next time. However, I'm pretty sure the game would have been a fun one to play with!

I had the same issue with my monitor! If you have a higher resolution monitor to plug into your HDMI, there is a way to get around the needed resolution settings. But sadly, that is the only fix my team has found so far. We will try our best to be able to adjust the formatting in a later update.

Good character design, chill music, and a great job capturing the same vibes as VA11-HallA. (Also appreciated the Hollow Knight ref!)

Thank you for your kind comment! My team and I are glad you enjoyed the game. Also, I appreciate any shout out to my character designs!

The idea is pretty interesting, I like story driven games. There are too much information in the beggining, so I got a little lost, and filling the drink is a little bit too slow. Besides that everything works fine, bartender is my new husband - but seriously though, nice character design.

Thank you for your comment and feedback! My team and I are so glad you enjoyed the game.

Also as the artist, I'm very glad you liked the designs! Especially the bartender, as I did my best to make him very eyecatching! I was hoping I would get at least one comment like this. It really made my day!

I was surprised to see a Visual Novel had made it into the jam - but the presentation is all around very impressive, from the writing to little visual animations. Plus distinct but not overdone character designs, captivating music and SFX, the bits of lore for each drink, and the extra touches to interaction (like physically shaking the drink)...

I wouldn't be surprised if this was made by a very experienced team. Not many games can have me totally absorbed, let alone one made in 48 hours. I hope this expands into something even larger.

Thank you so much! :)

Really interesting project and take on the theme, enjoyed playing around with all the different cocktail options seeing what combinations I could get, a recipe book would definitely come in handy as someone else suggested, but, yea, it was a fun time, nice job!

I'm very glad you enjoyed the game! My team is discussing adding some more elements after the voting period, so a recipe book is something we definitely need to keep in mind. Thank you for playing and leaving a comment!

Great idea and well done. The player could be guided and instructed a little more. Music fits very well. Great job!

Thank you for your nice comment and feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

This is really unique and well done! This is for sure something I will be coming back to! My two biggest suggestions would be a recipe book, that reveals recipes as you discover them, and a dialogue history, in case you forget what someone said, though both of those things would be difficult to included within the 48 hrs, I'd imagine. Really well done, I look forward to coming back and playing this again later in the week (and I'll update my review accordingly!)

Thank you for your kind comment! My team and I are really glad you enjoyed the game. We are discussing possibly having a post-voting period update patch, so we may include some of those things to enhance the gameplay. I'm excited to hear more of your thoughts as you continue the game later!
