It's an OK game, I would give it more sound effects and maybe decrease the learning curve at the start of the game.
Good job creating this game, even with a voiced intro, well done!
This game was really fun. Thanks for creating it!
It was a fun game. It took a minute to figure out how to play it, but once you get the ball rolling, it is easy to catch on. Very nice work!!!
This was a fun and interesting game that I spent way too much time playing. That said, the effects were kind of inscrutable (I definitely would have benefitted a lot from a guide to what the various types of stamina were, and also some way of knowing how much stamina each climber had left would also have been good), and some seemed to be outright bugged (one of the effects that is supposed to send people down two spaces consistently would send them down one and then up one). I also set up a trap combo that would usually take out the climbers by bouncing them around until they ran out of health or stamina, but on one occasion they got stuck and then, when their state finally resolved, the game decided that they could move 74 spaces on their turn!
....but even with those issues, I played this game for like 2 hours. So I think it'll be really great if you decide to polish it a bit more!
Lol. We knew that there was some funny business going on with reverse movement, but 74 spaces? :D Damn, sounds like you just set some kind of record there!
Fun, unique take on a progressive deck builder. Great application of the theme - could see this being fleshed out with a variety of maps and cards. Great job :)
This is really good. Art and music are all awesome just like the system you have made. I felt like all the animations should play a bit faster. That would make the game look snappier.
Okay actually how did u make an entire card game in 48 hours? Love the themeing, and I feel like it could be a really interesting competetive game tbh. Kinda how Bloons is set up where you decide what type of climbers to send at your enemy based on what kind of deck they're playing. Had fun with it, great work!
Really cool concept and execution! Being able to make a card game in this amount of time is impressive, good work!
Solid, fun game. I wish I could have inspected the stats of individual climbers to know how close they were to being defeated. But overall, a very enjoyable game.
good job implementing this in 2 days! it was a pretty refreshing take on the theme! i would work on the tutorial part as sometimes when i place my card on the climbers i not sure if i did something
It's good to see a card game show up on game jam :) nice work
Great take on the jam's topic!
I, unfortunately, encountered a similar bug as others where climbers with negative numbers first moved one stage down and then multiple stages up.
No worries, I still had fun playing the game and testing out the different cards. It felt very rewarding to play cards to push the climbers some times back when they were close to the summit.
I think showing the climbers stats when hovering them would have helped to keep track of their status.
Otherwise, again fun to play and great idea!
Great idea with the cards. Could be really cool with a deckbuilder side to it.
Definitely, it was in our plans but time wasn't on our side for it :)
I want to climb the mountain!!! Great game, beautiful art :D
That's so kind ^^ happy you enjoyed our game
I really enjoyed it, and can tell a lot of thought was put into the design. Unfortunately I found that when the climbers roll in the negative, they go down one, then go up for the rest. Also, when multiple climbers or traps were on the same tile, it wasn't clear how many were on that tile
Thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it despite its shortcomings!
I'm surprised you're the first to mention that bug, as it is quite severe and can definitely end a run.
FYI: There can only be one trap or landmark on a tile. If you play another one on the same tile, then the old one is gone.
Climbers can stack up though, as you have noticed ^^'
I actually loved reading through your instructions below the game! I felt like I was playing some new exciting board game. You did really well to force the player to actually think through their moves and not just always have one obvious best thing to do. I think it would have maybe been nice to see the stats of each climber so that I might be able to make more informed decisions (I felt like I was just guessing many times). But, overall this was a great game and I think it could do even better in a physical board game format! :)
Thank you for playing, for reading the instructions and for writing this comment! :)
Got a little lost at first, but then killed climbers relentlessly on my second run! Good job!
We really would have benefited from more clarity in the gameplay + a tutorial and for that I will take the blame. But also is great to see that everyone who overcome the rough part of understanding the gameplay had fun playing ^^
There isn't much to blame on anyone I think! It's a game jam! We only do what we have time to do!
Nicely fits the theme and fun to play. Seems like I need more time than I can afford to figure out a strategy.

man if only i was good at card games...
an easy 10/10, just for the lore (and game design, audio, and everything else!)
That's a really nice thing to say Malk, glad you liked it ^^
