Clever core mechanic. Fun application of the theme with smooth controls and a nice minimalist style. Well done :)
you polish up this real good! the idea is pretty interesting as well!
love it. i would have loved a stage with a single weak enemy so you actually had to fight the boss
Really excellent! It felt very polished and well put together. Each of the characters had their pros n cons. I dont have notes or feedback really, i had a ton of fun.
The game is very polished with well-made AI mechanics for the enemies (which is something that I find hard to achieve). The music+SFX is good and matches the visual style perfectly.
It is a game that is fun to play and enjoyable. Plus, really cool approach of the theme!
Both the music and visuals are great in this game, simple but addicting to play. I couldn't get to what looks like a boss in one of the screenshots but I had some fun. Would be nice to see more species and rooms.
Something cool to add would be a stealth mechanic where all enemies don't know who the player is until one goes rogue or the player attacks. So a player constantly attacking will be swarmed quickly, but a player who's more stealthy with their kills would have the other enemies be confused and randomly attack each other from fear.
This was a fun idea. I like that you need to make the decision of what you want to play as because it carries into the next room which means you have to play against it the next time.
Nice! Liked everything about it. It has good difficulty, its short and concise and has a very cool concept. Liked the art and the music. I really wanted to try to face the last boss :p Very good job :)
This concept definitely works to keep me engaged, and the visuals and soundtrack top it off really well. The shoober was by far my favorite "class" of character to play here, but getting up close with every shot definitely made keeping my health low a lot trickier - the level of challenge here is just right.
amazing game! really clever take on the theme and great execution. loved the music and the artstyle, and my favorite goon was the goober. i think a dash/dodge roll could’ve complemented the gameplay, but still a very fun and polished experience (: (took me like 20 tries to get to the boss, but im glad i did, it made me chuckle taking control of him)
Simple yet entertaining. Brilliant art and sound as always! The challenge is there, and the play strategy varies between rounds. Awesome work!
Although I would love to have a twist at the end after you become the boss: an actual boss battle on the last level. Also, the gray patch on the ground is a bit too dark to imply that it's still a floor for me. It took me quite some time to realize that it's just a floor texture.
Still, it's a nice, polished game that I really enjoyed.
Thanks very much! Particularly appreciate the comment on art and sound :)
An actual final boss would definitely be a good addition! Great point on the tileset too - it could definitely use a little refinement to make sure it reads properly. It's also made me think that I'd love to add bottomless pits, luring an enemy Galoober into a charge only for it to fall to its death sounds like a fun tactic >:)
I loved this game! Great music and art, it feels nice to play. I love learning how each character works then choosing which one you prefer to play as most, and sometimes being forced to lose the player you want to be. Lots of fun all around
