Oh it took me a bit to figure out what I was doing, but I got there. Once I figured it the controls are kinda like a flight sim, my brain really wanted "up arrow" to be "go downward" but that's probably just me. :P Maybe an option to choose key settings in a future version.
there is a toggle in the bottom left to invert flight. Thanks for playing!
Ah awesome! Thanks!
Omg very fun, I am very disoriented
So... I'm a fish... and I need to send myself to... death?
Weird but cute!
Fisherman: Thanks for nature's bounty!
Very beautiful graphics. You nailed the swimming animation perfectly. I would have added kelp or sea weed at the bottom of the world to help with the sense of direction, because I got disoriented when I couldnt reference up and down. Had a great time being eaten.
That's a great idea, thanks for playing!
God damn shark, i was finally getting big!
Nice game, very relaxing (except for the shark :P)
Game is a bit trippy(In a good way) and I love the gameplay, great game!
Great minds indeed! Loved your game as well!
Very calm and chill game! The controls took my like a minute or two to get used to! For a game jam this is very nice, I can see it being polished in the future! All in all very nice game!
Please be sure to rate our game back as well!
Our twist of the theme is that a critic tries to play your unfinished game, and you fight from inside the computer to make him like it.
Wow!!! I like it a lot! The controls had a bit of a learning curve but after that, I got the hang of it and it was super fun! The shark jump scared me the first time I got eaten by it lol. Really fun game!!!
The sweet music and horrifying shark that I could never quite see made this a fun and scary one to play
Cool controller! I haven't done it yet but my goal was "get big enough to eat the shark." Then I thought: "get big enough to destory the fisherman." Going to give it one more go to try for vengeance lol
That's a great idea!
Looks great
Gotta say,
great game and all that stuff,
but still the cover image, damn,
It looks incredibly professional.
I could totally see myself playing this on my phone on the bus or something. ^^
I liked the unique art style and overall atmosphere, but the camera and controls overall are a bit funky. Good job though!
Neat entry!
I loved the atmosphere, fish animation, and overall presentation. The UI and transitions were all really nice and polished.
As others have said, the controls are a little funky. I think a big part of it is that the camera lags behind the movement; so if you do a sharp turn, there’s a period of time you can’t see where you’re going until the camera movement catches up. It was also sometimes difficult to gauge the depth of the pickups, but the radius on them was generous enough I never missed one I thought I should hit.
Great work for 48 hours!
controls are a little weird, but the idea, and the graphics are excellent! :D
Very clever idea. I found the gameplay very calming and also addictive. I agree that depth perception is a bit difficult in the game.
Great fishing simulator reverse! I like the art style and swimming mechanics. The controls were hard to deal with. But overall, good job!
Pretty cool, idea is fantastic, and shark make me scared couple of times. For me W and S must be switch places. I think it's 10/10.
For invert control, click the bottom left button (It's a bit broke visually atm but I'll fix that after the jam)
Thank you so much for playing!
Awesome! I didn't realize there was a weight goal to begin with, but learned quickly. The controls were very intuitive, though I had trouble discerning how far away I was from things. Great work!
