Wow, it becomes especially hard with time, but manageable! Great game though.

I was surprised to see my dog become a wolf, but it spices the experience so why not!

Also it was a bit hard to understand how sheeps actually died, as they progressively turned to black without really having touched the wolf

They get lost in the woods, but it's something people get confused about more often! Thanks for the feedback, it is much appreciated

At one point I though they were sick

Even without the dog/wolf swapping this could be an incredibly cool game! Basic mechaincs works very well (I didn't quite understand why is barking not working sometimes, maybe it's on cooldown or is locked when colliding with wolf for some reason, but there's seemingly no indication of that). Extra mechaincs like grass and holes works super good, and being introduced one at a time with every level, it made me play the entire game! I like level of detail in visual and sound cues: darkening sheep lost in the woods, highlighted icons of grass and holes, that's what shows how thoroughly the game was tested and polished before release, and that's very important for the feel. I also liked wolf attacking from different angles, it flips gameplay a bit and makes it more interesting and not boring. Great!

Thanks for the extensive feedback!

I really like the base gameplay idea here, herding sheep feels surprisingly good to control. The swapping dog/wolf feels incomplete though, was there intended to be more to it? As is, it's more just a slight pause in the gameplay and doesn't really change much.

Developer (1 edit)

The swapping of the dog and the wolf was intended to make the game more challenging and chaotic, but once you get the hang of the game I can see how that effect is not really achieved. We also intended that the flock size is preserved from level to level to make losing sheep more consequential but a game breaking bug prevented us from doing so. Thanks for the feedback though,  much appreciated!

This is a nice idea, really fun to try to control the sheeps and surprising when the roles are swapped.

Very creative concept and great execution! The game is polished and very well done, I love the music it's very fitting for the game, the sheep sounded cute too haha, it was quite challenging at first but I got the hang of it near the end, and there was a lot going on so it didn't become too repetitive! I managed to finish the game and it said only 20 sheep died (is that the new highscore? jk haha). Really well done, great submission!

Definitely the best I've heard so far, thanks for the kind words!

Wolf ate all my sheep :( Rip fluffies

really creative idea and fun gameplay, well polished and cool art, though it's kind of hard trying to balance scaring the wolf and looking at the timer and guiding the sheep around holes (I'm not saying this as a bad thing, I think being difficult is a good thing).

That was fun and cute little game! Music was nice too, I was not playing on fullscreen so I just keep clicking out of the game lol. Enjoyed it a lot, nice game!

Really nice game! Mechanic is fun to play and it's a super well polished experience. The art and the music are both great. Think I might get in trouble for sending too many sheep down a hole though.... XD

( I realized that changing roles of the wolf and the dog is the roles reversed aspect of the game. )

Nonetheless it's still completely valid that you think it is a bad/frustrating mechanic, it is not the first time I've hear such a sentiment, a I mostly agree with it. Thanks for the feedback, and there's no need to feel bad about it.

I did not find any issues with the gameplay, so basically an all round pretty nice game.

Also so many of my sheep died to the holes, may they rest it peace.
