Couldn't get Left Mouse Button to do anything - middle and right worked according to description

Submitted

I unfortunately could not figure out how to do anything even after reading the added description.

The game's aesthetics look great but the trail drawing doesn't seem to work

Submitted

Game looks amazing, but I'm not sure what to do, took five minutes to figure out how to rotate map since I only knew you could zoom. Can't seem to draw any trail as the video shows? Is there some buttons I should click? I tried clicking the entire map but nothing works.

Submitted

interesting concept, but i found that the game did not feel like much more than clicking a lot on the map. some challenge would have helped a lot in making the game feel purposeful. the shaders and materials were really well made, though

This looks and sounds gorgeous, but there's not enough meaning and goal. I would like to see more developed projects with this epic style!

I managed to do it, it took a bit toooo long for me to figure out how the mechanics work, but yeah I get the general idea of this.

I wish there were more maps to map and some external gameplay enhancer to making the maps. For example, a thunderstorm or fog making it hard to see parts of the map or having limited markers so you need to figure out what the best route to chart the area would be.

Another possible idea is that men will traverse the map after you finish making it, and you'd need to be smart about making them not adventure through treacherous areas otherwise they'd risk and inevitably die.

This game has potential to be an interesting puzzle game! You could also take it in the direction of a simulator if that's more your style, and just make so you can mess around with the different features of map making. Good work, keep making games!

Really cool concept and artistic representation. Great work!

Thank so much <3

This is a cool idea and it was very satisfying building up the path! It would have been confusing if not for the clear instructions on the jam page :)

I did find the controls quite difficult to use and I also didn't get the Mountain Mapped screen after connecting the points.

Developer(+1)

I really need to sort out that bug :p . Thank you for the kind words

I tried to play but i was confused as to what to do :(

Developer

Sorry that the instructions were unclear.

I Love The Idea Tho I Do Find The Game A Bit Hard To Play At The Start... Now I Only Wish There Was More Content To Explore :D

I could totally see this being a really cool game where you have to route a path for people to follow! I think to improve it you could have made it clearer when the node is connected to a ruin (like some particle explosions or something) and then made it replayable with perhaps random terrain and adding multiple paths and being graded on their quality (however you would do that (maybe proximity to scenic location / nodes used)) I do understand that wouldnt be possible in the short time allotted but you should totally do a post jam version!

Submitted

can confirm also i didnt get the mountain mapped screen

Developer

Thats very strange - sorry for that bug. It will be my first priority for the next revamp.

Developer

These are all really good ideas that I definitely want to add on top of continuing to develop on this idea and hopefully transform it into more of a FPV mountain climbing and mapping sim with a bit more challenge and excitement.  I think I'll procedurally generate the landscapes, work on the ruin logic and effects, add some more complex mechanics and work on some sort of route grading by safety and scenicness!

Figured out what to do after a bit but nothing seemed to happen at the end.

Developer

I'm sorry that I wasn't able to make the objective clearer.  When you have laid a path between all the ruins a "MOUNTAIN MAPPED" screen should show up. Is that happening for you?

Submitted(+1)

Hmm, I wasn't super sure exactly what to do in this one until I scrolled down and watched a youtube video showing someone else doing it. I think this is a creative idea (creating a path for someone else to follow, somehow?) but it ended up just being a minute or so of "click really close together on a mountain".

Certainly an idea with merit, but I tend to feel that a game should be standalone, and not need the page around it to explain the controls, or contain a video showing what you're supposed to do.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! :) I understand exactly what you're on about. I unfortunately was very busy this weekend so didn't have much time to spend on this game, and features such as in-game control and objective explanations were the next steps on my to-do list, which I wasn't able to finish. In terms of the gameplay standpoint, it did end up being less than I had hoped for. I am going to continue to develop on this idea and hopefully transform it into more of a FPV mountain climbing and mapping sim with a bit more challenge and excitement.

Totally understandable! It's incredible how 48 hours feels like a huge amount of time until you're trying to make a game in that window

Developer

Especially when you're going to a festival in that time lol [im an idiot]
