The idea is pretty neat. I like the art style but I wish it was more consistent. Would be cool if you could control the robot's attacks more, but I assume this was near impossible due to the time constraint. Overall a really cool game

We had similar idea. Robots on backround do depth of space, good job, maybe You can more highlight desk for jump

This was a neat concept, I enjoyed the switch between both characters! It took me a bit to understand how to get a win condition, oftentimes it was better not to attack at all to ensure you'd be close in score and to be prepared for the frantic swaps towards the timer's end.

Developer

Winning is kind of a 50/50 chance I think maybe so that's not the main objective. The main objective is to get the highest score, so maybe it wasn't better to not attack oftentimes.

Very cool idea and execution; I genuinely enjoyed playing this. Art style feels a bit cluttered to me, and its a bit hard to control the robot, but otherwise its a great game!

Solid game here, would be really fun in like a minigame collection with 4 players and one player switching into being the giant robot every so often. Had fun with it!

Unfortunately I can't seem to get your game to work. When I try to play the web version, I get this:

error:

The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing:
Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)
SharedArrayBuffer - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)

And when I try the download link it says 'page blocked'.

It's a shame because reading your description, it looks like you put a lot of thought into this game and I'd like to be able to try it.

Are you able to try the windows build? I'm currently looking up the problem, but I most likely will not be able to fix it until after the full jam is over.
Edit: After researching, I have learned that according to Godot 4's official documentation: Godot 4's HTML5 exports currently cannot run on macOS.
Are you using a mac?

Not Mac, but Linux. that might have a similar issue.

I can run most Windows builds through WINE, but for some reason when I tried to download the Windows build it said ‘page blocked’ and didn’t download.

Developer

I just used itch.io to host the files, so the page blocked makes no sense unless it happens with other games on itch.io as well. Maybe a mix of keywords caused the page to block if you have some kind of parental limits on your computer? Or maybe something could have bugged out at that moment leading to the page being blocked, idk.

This is what pops up when I try to download the file, both when I first tried it and now.  Only this game has given me this error and I have no idea why.

I don't have any parental limits on my computer or network, so I have to assume it's just some error. I assume most people have been able to play just the browser version and haven't needed to download the Windows build. I'm curious if the issue is unique to me, or if other people trying the download would have a similar issue.

Developer

I'm sorry you couldn't play. That is very weird though.

I like the artstyle a lot. I really like how each attack has its own weak point that you need to aim for.

Reminds me of old Sonic vs Dr. Eggman boss fights :D
Really fun and love the artstyle!

Interesting idea with the boss. Not bad graphics. But sometimes it's hard to understand who you control, but everything is fine)

I'm amazed, very smart to have the roles reverse during gameplay, only person I've seen do that :)

Just letting you know I got this error:

It seems like it's not just you. I would suggest trying the windows build of the game if possible,

I'm a windows lad through and through!

The game felt really cool at times when I knew which attack was coming and who I was controlling. My feedback would be make it more obvious who are you controlling and also give more feedback when you attack as the robot. Great job!

It would be greatly appreciated if you rated my game as well!  https://outercloudstudio.itch.io/fire-swap

The game is certainly interesting. The controls feel kinda clunky for the robot and it is sometimes hard to know which character you're controlling. Also, the timer is way too long. Other than that, good game.

Oh, and the game told me I suck, so no high score from me... :(

Cool concept + good execution, would be a lot more fun if the rounds were a bit shorter!

Hi the game has an error on browser. If you can still edit, there's an experimental setting called SharedArrayBuffer in itch.io that I think will fix it. Hope this helps

never mind it works now, cool game!
