How does your game fit the theme?
You start as seed and try to survive, but when it turn night you need to try and it the plant as snail. So you first try to survive, to then later try and kill the same thing.

Wow, that seed sure never skipped a leg day in their (very short) life! Very cute little game, though I did feel a little bad for my cute little plant buddy.
The first scene felt pretty good to control. It took me some getting used to the slowness of the snail, but I eventually accepted it as part of the vibe that is required for that scene. And when day drew closer, I was definitely very engaged, as slow as they were.
The artwork has a very wonky MS-Paint style, but I’m actually pretty into it. Especially impressed by the animations!
All in all this might be a silly game, but also a pretty solid one. Good job!
Haha that seed has been doing some squats. Btw you can win in two ways: The snail can win if you eat the plant and the plant can win if the snail gets eaten or doesn't make it in time. All the art was made in MS Paint, so you were right about that. Same goes for the animations, although the animation are really only 3 images :)
Thank you for playing and giving some strong feedback!
Had a hard time dealing with the slow framerate of the movement, but after getting the hang of it, it's much better. I think for how unforgiving the game is, it is really a bummer that a refresh is required to replay the level. I think a health system or a faster restart that skips the intro animation (which is very nice, but not something I want to watch every time) would be a good fix for this issue.
Overall, nice art and clever concept. Good job!
About the framerate, I made the game in scratch (I know, not that impressive of a game), but it seems that if you have multiple scripts of moving objects on screen, that the frames start dropping. And I really wanted to add a restart button, but I didn't have the time for it. Same for the skipping of the intro animation.
Appreciate it that you gave some good feedback :D
Cute game, interesting idea on the role reversal! It was really challenging to control the plant but great job :)
It's a really cute game and I really enjoyed the mechanics, however I will say that you should try to use different saturations of colors to separate the main gameplay scene from the background, it gets confusing sometimes.
But don't forget to congratulate yourself on doing a game all by yourself in 48 hours, that's an unbelievable feat!!
i enjoyed the game. it just needs a restart btn and it's good to go.
Fun idea but I'm not sure how well it fits the theme and the two parts don't feel connected. The game is simple and entertaining tho, all in all charming
Really cute art and style. The game was a little rough and needed more ways to warn the player what was happening and what the goal was.
Cute game! Loved the artstyle and the soundtrack of the night level felt deep. Gameplay in the first phase was fun and the right level of difficulty for me.
I don't know if there was a button to restart but if not it would be nice to add one. Having to refresh the page everytime was inconvenient. But other than that, great experience!
I like the shift from day to night and how it changes the way the game is played. It is cute and I had fun. My only feedback is the game would have benefitted from a restart button. Overall, well done and congratulations on finishing the jam!
Charming and funny little game. Would have wished that something you did as the plant affected what happens with the snail part though, now it kind of felt like just 2 separate small games that are not really connected to each other. The walking seed was fantastic!
Cool Idea! I think it feels a bit unfair having to be hit only once to lose. Great job overall!
The seed on legs is hilarious :D
I think the game feel could be improved by making the jump less floaty.
But overall I enjoyed playing!
The opening cutscene did a fantastic job of teaching what you need to do in the game. Art and music are charming. I only made it to the snail part once and got confused and died, the raindrops take a little too long for me to try again and I didn't see any checkpoints or way to restart. Overall quite fun, fantastic presentation and very creative!
I got so much enjoyment just watch a seed walk with roots hahah. A bit difficult with the rng but 9/10 :)
