Very polished game. Reminded me of flash games that I used to play.
Aesthetic is excellent. Very impressive that you managed to make so many art assets and the music during the 48hr Jam period. Cutscenes were very enjoyable.
For improvements, I think the actual gameplay needed a bit of work. I'd suggest adding support for wasd movement and maybe using mouse click to control the direction of throwing stuff.
Overall, good submission. Well done!
We also think gameplay can be improved, and some more control over throwing stuff was thought about but cut at the end of the jam. Thanks!
Really love the graphics. I had a lot of fun playing it, good job!
The graphics and music were both incredible! I loved the goofy smile plastered to the hero the entire time as you manically throw everything you have at him, knowing it will never be enough. The animations were really on point. I couldn't find any bugs while playing, it was all really well put together!
Loved the storytelling! The art and music worked so well together.
This is amazing!
Great music, love the intro animation.
Love the story and the variety of ways you can decimate the hero with! Cutscenes and everything, love it! Clever use of the title as well :)
Well worthy of 5 star, I like everything in this game , The Movement feels very Awesome , The visuals and the Ending Twist Haha , I have never thought and played of this type of movement effects.
Thanks! What did you like about the movement, specifically?
That effect on leg while moving when talking about graphical way 😁. And when hero beat and throw the villain.
The game is a lot of fun and gives me a nostalgic feeling of the flash game era. The animations are superbly done, and there is a wide range of traps available to use.
(The way he walks like a chad and gets smashed is just fantastic.)
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad youve enjoyed it :)
Of corse that flash games were a big inspiration for us!
Very enjoyable game. There's a nice variety of traps and the intro is very funny.
I felt bad for the villain though, I wanted him to win despite the title of the game :'(
I really liked the art style and the relentlessness of the hero. I was trying everything to keep him at bay! I played 3 times, trying to not get hit at all, and maybe get a secret ending, because I think the villain deserved it. Alas, I could not do it. Very nice game!
There is no secret ending because we barely got the game finished! hahah
But we are thinking about adding some stuff when the voting period is over.
Thanks for your feedback! :)
Fantastic game. Definitely made me laugh and was a lot of fun to play. Clever idea and great artwork too!
I loved the art and it was a really creative idea! It reminds me of the comics my friend used to make in elementary school! Awesome Job!!!
The presentation is really well done! All the animations and cutscenes where great and entertaining. Def felt like an episode of Dexter's Laboratory.
Very cool game, loved all the different ways you could slow down the hero, it all felt very creative and silly
Simple, funny, and well polished. Also the art and animation is so good!
This game is so fun. It has beautiful animations, art, and music. Overall, I loved it.
Fun and well made game. I like the cutscenes too
The polish on this game is impressive! Probably due to the wonderful art, animations, and music (the ending theme reminds me of Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, of all things). And I think the overall concept was a great choice for "roles reversed".
My only nitpick is that there's no way to win or keep score. I know that's kind of the whole point, but even something simple like a counter that shows how many times you've been pummeled by the hero would deepen the gameplay a lot, letting players try to beat their own personal record. As it stands, you can sit there without pressing any buttons and still get the same ending (unless there's some secret ending I never saw for getting a flawless run).
Overall, great job, I really enjoyed playing!
Thank you for your feedback!
Superstar saga was definetly an inspiration so you have a very good ear! haha
And the top score was in consideration for the jam build as well as multiple endings!
Sadly we didn't make it on time, but we will probably add those things in a future update :)
Valuable feedback indeed, thank you!!
Nice game!!!!!!
