Great work, I found it a bit difficult to understand the point of the really expensive unit.
Interesting concept, and one I've been thinking of prototyping for years myself! Glad you've done it so I don't have to...
Well presented, love all the details like the animated menus etc. It's not super clear what's happening and what you can do. Needs a couple of hints to onboard you a little better. I only figured out I could spawn new units by clicking in the edge after I'd already lost twice!
I'd have also appreciated indicators showing what the different units did, how much HP they each had, how upgraded the each were etc. Likewise with the single hero - how much health does he have? How much damage does he do? Explaning these things to the player in a clear and concise way would go a huge way to making your game feel better.
As it was, I played about 5 times, and in the end could hold the hero off indefinitely. I never new if it was possible to defeat him though. I could see my "money" clicking up at a decent rate, and spawned in a few of the red guys. They died quickly just like the cannon fodder yellow guys. I had expected them to behave differently, like maybe have a longer ranged attack or something.
Still, well done for getting a totally working game done in 48 hours. Not an easy feat at all!
This definitely needs some tweaks to the balancing but overall it’s a really cool game! I like the idea and art
definitely, thanks for playing <3
I really liked this game!
The idea is super creative :)
Good job!
Thanks for feedback <3
That style - mmmm, so good. Like that. Well done!
Nice to hear <3
Thanks for playing!
Like the idea, and was fun!
Thanks <3
astronaut animation was great haha, Awesome game!
I also fell in love with his animations, especially the chilling run :P
Controls took some getting used to, at first I didn't even know I was the one spawning more aliens! Took a while to win, I finally upgraded speed enough on the green guys to spam them past the sword swings.
Wow, few won without cheats, congratulations :D
Thanks for playing <3
very neat! the idea was cool and execution was even better.

Thanks for playing <3
Nice work! I especially enjoyed the running animation of the astronaut, but great work overall.
Unfortunately I have no artistic skills, and it's a free asset, but I also fell in love with it and it fits my game very well :D
Had fun. It was cool seeing the astronaut get stronger. Losing spawn area definitely hurt. It's a nice penalty. It would have been nice to see the astronaut's progress when it deactivates the spawn areas. I love how clicking and dragging spawns a ton of aliens quickly and the sound when they pop too. It's so satisfying.
I haven't managed to beat it without cheats yet. Thanks for providing one so I can see the end :)
I'm glad, I wanted the satisfaction of spawning <3
nice and fun game with amazing presentation gj :)
Thanks for playing <3
Cool game :D, it is so satisfying to spawn the aliens, nice work :D
I'm glad you appreciated what I cared about. I get satisfaction from it too, and love the sound when spamming <3
Thanks for playing <3
Really loved the game, fun, enjoyable but, maybe, a bit too hard.
Yeah, it's definitely demanding.
Thanks for playing <3
PS. If you hold down G+O+L+D, you can play cheat
That was awesome sir, congrats ^^
Thank you <3
Wonderful concept, and really well executed - I totally lost track of time whilst playing, I was completely engrossed! Trying to keep the "player" engaged without letting them level was a really strong mechanic, with plenty of strategic options available with a nice range of units and upgradeable stats
I'd agree with some of the other comments that it's a little too tricky without the cheat code, but I still thoroughly enjoyed this.
If I had a chance to improve something, it would definitely be balance, swapping single stat upgrades for unit upgrades.
I've discussed this with others, and if I were to do it again, I'd remove almost all units, and make them more unique. For example, Support, or a thief, thanks to which we could improve our economy.
Thanks for playing <3
I played many games during this jam, but this particular one amazed me the most! I know that many people wasnt really creative with jam's theme. But this one is so fresh and it feels great to play! It's not like any other jam game but real mobile game which you could find in a Top Sellers in Google Play! I cant believe that it was made in only 48 hours, cause many mobile developers would make game like that in months! Huge respects to the dev team, you made really good job and you made me play this game multiple times!
<3
I've just spent far longer playing this than I had any right to XD
As others have mentioned, the only real thing to work on is the balancing - and even then I played for quite a while before I realised I hadn't even damaged the hero, so the fun is there either way. I also didn't realise on my own that you could upgrade your minions, and if it wasn't a jam game then a tiny tutorial is all I'd want added.
Controls are snappy, with good feedback on spawns (both visuals and sounds). Fits the theme perfectly, of course. Great gameplay loop where you want to spawn lots of enemies to overwhelm the hero, but that levels the hero up if they all die.
I have only managed to win when using the... ahem... cheat code... would be curious to know what the meta is when playing legit!
P.S I saw an earlier version posted on the discord so it was great seeing the final product!
Nice to hear <3
I agree, balance needs polishing and unit upgrades should be more communicated :D
Wow, I only posted on discord once and thought it disappeared into the abyss :P
Thanks for playing <3

I think the stats were off in the build I run. The most expensive alien had the worst stats. I see your screenshots were different. Here's some images from my playthrough: https://imgur.com/a/rkHzRW5
Otherwise very pretty animations, graphics and effects. Great to have a little downtime for the enemy to get your bearings. And the "Spawn zone" display was very good at make the controls more obvious.
Other than tweaking the stats to polish the gameplay, I'm not sure what else I would've added (perhaps some way to upgrade your stats?) - seemed like a fun little game on its own. Great job!
It's true, I need to change the screenshots, I changed the economy in the last minutes and I already had everything else ready.
The concept of the most expensive alien is that you have to invest a lot in it by upgrading the stats and then no other unit can match it then.
I was planning to add co-op to the game so a second player could control the astronaut, but ran out of time.
Thank you for playing and for your feedback <3
Greetings!
Interesting - how can you upgrade the aliens' stats?
You have a green arrow next to the stats and their price :D
I see. Too bad I didn't figure that out xD
Beautiful, but I haven't found yet how to beat the hero ><
I did it!
Thank you for opinion! I'm glad you won :D
The difficulty level definitely needs to be adjusted, but I'm glad that it's winnable by other people than me
Regards <3
PS: You have cheat code in description ;)
