I haven't seen many 3d games that I could easily play in my browser let alone one that lets me mine asteroids and composite ships. This is really cool!
Really fun concept. The spaceship feels fun to control, and the models all look great. My one complaint is that the game does get a bit grindy as you get into bigger ships, but there are plenty of ways to add variety, if you plan to keep working on this project in the future.
Yup it is quite a bit of a grind even with the assembly upgrades, planning to add building drones and make the mining drone help you collect metal to make it less of a grind
I like it. I was vibing fr
Very cool ! I liked it a lot !
Impressively done, it's always fun to upgrade and compare early game to end game.
There were some issue where the camera snaps to a certain rotation or the ships position/rotation change. A losing condition would also be nice to have. Maybe a way to build your ships faster or skip the process could be added, it was cool to see the process at first, but got a bit tedious at the end.
Outisde of those things, the rest of the game is great and it's very impressive that was created in such a short time.
Got max upgrades and the planet cracker destroying the planet was a satisfying endgame feature.
Yeah the assembly process gets old fast, I was gonna add building drones as an upgrade but I ran out of time. I'm really happy to hear that someone got to the end
This is quite bulk game for a time limited gamejam, one can notice the efforts to make this possible, graphics are superb!
Building the spaceships was really fun to watch! Also this was a pretty ambitious game style so I'm impressed the controls were so intuitive! Wonderful job.
Wow a 3D space game, you don't see that often in a gamejam! I think the progression could be a bit faster, but overall I liked it.
Really cool entry! I got lost in it for a long time. I would say that the lighting on the asteroids, though probably accurate to space, makes it hard to see, and makes everything fade into the background.
Yeah It looks bad with bright shadows but maybe some kind of night vision on a toggle or something. Or even really strong lights for that matter
When I was building something called Planet Cracker I started to wonder if there was any moral issues with that, then I saw a whole planet blown to bits and I didn't have to wonder anymore.
Such a great game, controlling the ship is great, the progression was fun, and overall it's amazing that you were able to create this in 48 hours, nice job.
My only nitpick would be the lighting, at some angles the asteroids are hard to see, and the bits after they explode are even harder to see, so I'm sure I lost many bits just floating around that I was not near enough to grab them.
Thanks for playing! Yeah the lighting in space is hard to get right, cause normally the shadows are almost absolutely dark. I tried making the shadows less dark but then it looks a bit weird.
Nice idea, yay for another space game!
It is a nice one, chill, and also gives the sense of real life (imaginary). Who knows that kind of asteroid mining and building may someday become a reality.
I am a big sucker for anything sci-fi so flying the spaceship was really fun and I was saving money to buy overdrive. Overdrive is pretty cool I flied to the planet but couldn’t reach the sun. Some sound effects would be really nice but I understand you didn’t have time given the scope of this game and the fact that you made it in 48hours(insane). All in all good game I liked it.
I purposefully left out most sounds as there isn't any sound in space. The only sounds were the ones that actually had contact with the ship, but you're right i could've added Ui sounds, a sound for completing ships would be nice as well. Thanks for playing!
Of course there is no sound in space but the player is not gonna think that they’re gonna think the game has no sound effects. You see how explosions in space make dull “boom” sound effect in movies even though that would be impossible to hear. They do it because it’s cool. Imagine how much cooler the overdrive would have been if you made the jet engine go “shooooooooooooooooooooooo” when you use it you know what I mean.
Oh yeah I agree this is just my excuse
some music would be nice and i would love to have been able to fly into the planet but other than that 9/10 amazing. not a 10 cus my complaints are true

Wait fly into the planet? You can fly to the planet, just not the sun. Thanks for playing!
I meant go inside the planet as it is a gas giant
oh ok
I love a good space game, this one was easy to control and relaxing.
I played for almost an hour, I may have unlocked the biggest ship licence too fast as the planet cracker required 40,000 steel to build, and after ~10 minutes I only have 10,000. I wanted to build it but I got bored of mining.
It seems my asteroids were only giving me ~200 each.
I am not clear what the assembly upgrade does, from what it seems it makes the ships build faster?
Really smooth controls, chill atmosphere. I really like the 'parts' of the large ships being built one by one, that's impressive tech.
The learner tag on the ship in the tutorial made me laugh.
Oh yeah the assembly is really useful for the final ship cause it makes the building faster and makes everything cheaper. Glad someone noticed the learner tag
Really fun and actually sunk quite a bit of time into it, was really chill. The SFX for collecting the materials is really satisfying.
Yeah that sound came out perfect straight away, thanks for playing!
Cool game, I especially like the movement :)
Good to hear, I was a little scared of the movement being too complicated
What do the numbers under right under the currently building indicate?
The amount of money you get for completing the order, I should've put the coin graphic next to it but I was too lazy
really fun game! kinda similar to mine!
Going by the images yours looks a lot scarier than mine
hahahahaha yeaaaaaaah..... it is admittedly a bit morbid looking, but the "build your own creature" aspect ends up making it more goofy than anything else after a bit. I was hoping to see a lot more games about building stuff this jam, so i'm excited when I find some like yours.
