This game was super fun. I went from chucking wooden blocks at people to being 'Murica real quick. Thanks for letting us play your game!

How does your game fit the theme?
Bricked Up is about reaching the sky with your own Babel tower while playing around with the scale of objects and the building itself – and also defeating waves of enemies. Other than that, "scaling" can also be used as a synonym for climbing, which is basically what your enemie will do in the game!

I couldn't start the game on the browser version as the continue button goes beyond the screen.
The game is very creative. I like the idea of gradually building a single structure instead of placing many structures as is the norm in tower defense games.
The uniform size of the bricks as well as the little pre built tower in the beginning, guides the player into creating their own carefully crafted fort. However, the physics aren't fine tuned to allow for this. I tried quite long trying to stack the bricks, but one brick would eventually glitch out of place and bring the whole tower down. If the intention was to make the game more chaotic, I'd advise to make the shapes more irregular, so people can't try to neatly stack them together. Maybe instead of bricks, it can be misshapen rocks?
Thankyou for the feedback! The browser version is tuned for 1920 x 1080 at normal scale, so if you have a zoomed browser it is cropped. We do know the physics are a bit unforgiving but we did our best in the little time we have for creating the game and balancing it. We already fixed it in the final version.
I like that the goal you are defending is also responsible for defending itself! It's a cool twist on the tower defense formula. But the bricks could be kind of unruly. It's kind of easy to knock the tower down while you're building it. The only way I could beat the final level was by holding the Ten Commandments on a brick and holding up the brick inside the end goal for thirty seconds. It might help stability if the brick you were currently holding couldn't affect the others. Or maybe parts of the tower could lock in place if you successfully complete a wave? Then again, it can be fun and hectic to have a heap of bricks.
The art was also gorgeously done!
Thankyou for playing. Part of the design of the game is that you can knock off your buildings. It's more of a chaotic game than a strategy one. Also, yes, we do now that the last level is kinda unbalanced at the moment. We did balanced in the patched games. We did patched the friction between blocks tho, to be more stable. Thanks for the feedbacks!
LMAO, they speed every languages. Also the amazon box as a reward killed me ahah, nice game and nice physics it was super fun ahah
Awesome art style! Really creative take on the theme! We did have some scaling issues and had to zoom out our browser settings to start the game, but nonetheless, awesome job!
Awesome! I liked the mechanics where you need to get the king to the top by stacking blocks, it's really challenging! And I liked the artwork and music too.
I found that the blocks will keep sliding when stacking, maybe you can check this out.

Design fits it so well and an overall really good tower defense game. Polished for a jam game, great job!
This game is great! A tower defence where the brick of the tower are your weapon, great idea, well executed
Also you managed to cram a story mode in a game made in 4 days? Awesome!
Great game and art style, real polished for a jam project, well done!
This was such a wonderful game for me. I loved the biblical themes. The choice between using your bricks to climb up vs using them to destroy enemies (which upgrades them) was pretty fun and inventive. Kudos!
