You know who I am on the leaderboard :)
Very fun game you have here! Insofar as I've seen, influencing the rate of rescaling isn't something someone else has done, so it stands out and requires a novel skill. One nitpick, the score doesn't reset between runs, so I was able to get the "high score" in just three runs of cumulative scoring.
Wow, this is incredibly well made and a lot of fun!
I think the only thing that bothers me a little bit are the levers. Maybe it's just me, but I thought at first they were relational: So if I put it in the lowest position, the object will be scaled down to a certain point. But they only influence the speed at which something is scaled. I think the game works just as well like that, but I was a little bit confused at the beginning. One other thing: Mapping buttons to the actions of the levers and button would be a great feature I believe (Think W / S for the left lever, arrow up / down for the right one and enter for the button).
Also: Look mom, I'm famous, I'm fourth on the leaderboard!
Might be the most elegant and spot-on take of the game jam theme I've played. Nailed it! Two notes: The slide controls were too finicky. The end of timer beeping sound effect was out of place.
I really liked this one! It was an interesting take on the theme and had great polish, good job!
Pretty clever game, can't help to love a PapersPlease-esque game, although control is a bit wonky. Good job!
A creative way to integrate the theme and honestly more challenging than what I was expected. The art style is very visually pleasing. The slide controls are frustrating tho.
Trying to get precise control of the sliders wasn't as easy as it felt like it should be but it does add to the challenge. Overall presentation was very good, the art and music are pleasing and the little touches to animate things add a lot. The leaderboard is a very nice touch. A game clearly made with expertise and well suited for short but thoroughly enjoyable play sessions.
Very nice interpretation of the theme and great execution! The game looks and feel polished, especially with the leaderboard and story. :) If there’s one thing I’d ask for is to make the scaling controls a bit more precise - they felt frustrating at times. But maybe it’s just that the ministry’s equipment has seen better days? :D
It did give a bit of Papers Please vibe with the sound when you're done, altho it did glitch out after that sound and never got me to the leaderboard I see people talking about.
The scaling controls felt like they we're set too high, I moved them just a small bit and the object was almost instantly gigantic or super small.
OOF! Pumping music, Clean UI, Fun gameplay and a leaderboard??!!
What more can you ask for in a jam? :)
10 / 10 would scale again
Very good. Fun soundtrack and had a story to it.
This was actually really similar to what I was making for the JAM. Congrats on completing it unlike myself. Great game. Nothing felt better than hitting that perfect match. 10/10 Great game
360 points! The sliders were difficult to control, especially when the item was small. You made a leaderboard? That's really cool! Nice polish!
Very solid, and incredible polish for a jam game. It feels like it was plucked straight out of a Mario Party game that was never made.
Great idea and really fun to play! So much polish, well done! Like @PowerManPM, I ended up tapping instead of sliding at some point for more control.
What would you like to have added or changed if you had more time?
Really fun to play, and really polished art and sound design! I got sucked in immediately and honestly could've played for ages. The only caveat was with the sliders, which were quite difficult to control properly- I like that you have some lack of precision because it lets you move through each object quickly without worrying about being perfect, but being too difficult to control became slightly frustrating. But still, everything else was brilliant!
It looks, sounds, and plays great. The only thing I didn't like was the X and Y scale sliders; they change the size too quickly and don't have a dead zone, so I have to adjust the size by tapping instead of swiping. But even with that, it's a lot of fun. I got 625 points!
Hey, congratulations on your game submission! That was fun to play.
Thank you!
Very fun! I liked the graphics, sound effects, and filling out a name was a nice touch. Then the slippy sliders made overshooting fun. If I had one feedback item, it's that the target sizes were a bit easy to miss; I wonder if they could have been rendered on top of the objects for a few frames longer up front, or periodically come back if missed. Regardless, enjoyed!
Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you like the game!
