Nice gameplay but it would be nice if the buildings had a better graphic representation on the map so it would be easier to distinct buildings from each other

I really like the vibe of this game and it is really fun!

Really nice work, well done!

Great Work, it was a bit confusing at first, but once we figured it out, it’s was super satisfying.

Really cool game, I love the mechanic of balancing benefits and drawback for each hand! The text is a bit too small for comfort in some places but I was mostly able to figure out what it was getting at. Great entry!

I took me some time to figure out how the upper party of each cards was linked to the lower part, but it's a very impressive entry at the end! 👏

The only thing i'm still not sure is the importance of the map : is it there any benefit from positionning our buildings or is it only flavor at the end (apart from the count of farm and houses ofc) ?

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it :)
There's very minor significance to map placement (small bonus added at the very end of development time) - I planned to add something in the future, but in the end had to cut down scope. The result is a mechanic that looks like it's missing something :/

Ok! If you have the opportunity to work on that as planned, I would love to see the result! 😁

I love deck-building games, and I think the idea of having top and bottom halves is really cool. It reminds me a bit of Gloomhaven. Overall, I really enjoy the atmosphere and the feeling the game conveys. It had me hooked for quite a while. Great work!

Really fun take on card game! Love the historical theme. Great project)

This game is brilliant. Really high quality for a game jam!

This is really unique compared to other games I've seen. Great art style and it feels so polished!

It's amazing how you added so much complexity in the time you had.

I found myself playing for a long time, good take i enjoyed it a lot!

This is a really unique take on a deck-builder/strategy game. I've never seen the "take the top of one and the the bottom of the other two cards" system before, it adds a lot of depth to the strategy! Really good game

Very well made. Never thought I'd like deck builders but I had a lot of fun. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but does tile placement have an effect on the game? If not, that would be an excellent strategic mechanic to add. This has so much potential to be a Civilization type deck builder (maybe roguelike? ). Awesome job!

Developer(+2)

Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sadly - the placement has a minimal effect on the game. I planned to add something to it in the future, but had to cut down scope :)

Loved the different scenarios, felt very thematic!

Awesome art style, and interesting idea! We can see you put a lot of work into it. The sound effects were pretty awesome as well.

this game has a large learning curve...,but I really like it!, cool ui and i can see you put a lot of thought into the game. its the kind  I would love to see getting worked on even further.

As i said, I really liked the game, kept playing it for 5 times in a row, amazing work. I am just not sure how it fits into theme, but at the end i don't care, i had fun, thank you :)

I'm not gonna lie this game got me STRESSED (in a good way)! I'm guessing that this probably took a lot of work trying to work out the numbers on each card. Super fun! Would appreciate if you also took a look at my game (I've also got numbers but not as complicated as this)

Submitted(+1)

Immediately felt that this is an ambitious game. Must have taken lots of time to balance out all the numbers. Very cool, well done! An interesting and good looking game.

This game has a bit of a learning curve, but is good for it. At first I was expecting Carcassonne, but as far as I can tell the layout of the city is just aesthetic. Instead, cards scale by how much of something you have done before, so the short term gain of not building houses has a long term loss of missing out benefits that scale with the number of them you have.

All in all, this game has a lot of nuance for a game jam and is well worth playing. And I should not be trusted to run rome.
