Developer

That's ok, we appreciate the kind words more < 3 We're glad you liked it enough to play it for that long! We'll be updating the game soon too, so feel free to play it again then : DD

I spent a lot more time here than i would like to admit haha! Very fun clicker! The extra resources were very refreshing, specially the soldier ant! I loved how different predators to the ants would show up to the anthill! The art was also very good!

This is peak! I love clicker games! Gonna leave this webpage open for the rest of the day! I need all unlocks!

Submitted(+2)

This was superfun, the art is really pretty too!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words :> We're happy you enjoyed!

Nice work! Would like for the clicker to be auto, other than that, good work!

Didn't expect to see an idle clicker! It's cozy and chill, and could be a nice way to relax. Also a nice little avenue into how managing a colony of ants might feel.

Stuff I think may use some improvement: I got attacked by a mantis very early, before I had any food income - that made me confused. Maybe a more solid way of progression in the beginning? The music also doesn't quite match the theme I think (not to say it's not good to listen to).

Cheers!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for playing! We'll take note of it for when we further develop the game in the future :>

Really loved this one. I love ants, currently at a Stage 4 Colony, baby!  The science ant with the glasses is the most adorable thing.  Anyone playing this, it's all about nibbles per second (NPS) in the beginning, eating bugs is what really gets the ant cash flowing.   Just fantastic.

Developer

Thanks for playing, we're glad you enjoyed! And that's true, more dead bug enemies = more food for the colony, just like in real life :DD

I enjoyed this game! It's fun to have on the background while I'm doing something else (like working on another jam game haha)! I love the music and overall vibe of the game!

Here's some feedback if y'all continue to work on this game:

  • It does get a bit hard to compare numbers if you're thinking about which to purchase. I'm not sure of the best fix, but it has something to do with the digits not being aligned after some purchases (e.g., after you buy some of the earlier ants the hundredth's place shows, and because the costs go up you might want to buy a different ant, but the digits aren't aligned so it's hard to quickly tell which number is bigger). Maybe commas every 3 digits could work? Not sure if that would look good. Just my experience as I was playing.
  • I didn't immediately realize I was getting attacked. I think I got the weevil at first, and I thought it was just an ant that showed up after I got some of them. I eventually noticed the "Weevil Attack" text, and bought some attack ants to learn what was happening.
  • It'd be cool to see ants moving around. I think that'd be a nice addition to really feel the growth (doesn't have to be exact, like even just a number of dots moving around the colony or something). Even though the colony grew I just didn't really feel the impact that much.

Overall great job! I will definitely be coming back to this game as something to mess around with while I'm doing other things--I think you captured the idle clicker genre really well :)

Thank you so much for the compliments and feedback! We'll definitely add more animation in the future :>

Very cozy idle game!! There's something really satisfying about buying bigger ants :D The art is really cute, would love to see animations of the ant colony :)

This held my attention wayyyy longer than I thought it would. Nice job! Loved the art, graphics, and all of the ant puns! A very interesting take on the theme! It really made we wish that I could watch my ants somehow.

Developer

Thank you so much :> We'll add more ant portraits and animation in the future!

Cool idle game with nice looking.

Feedbacks :

  • early game is way too slow
  • UI is a bit too big
  • a wall of texts as instructions is really tough
Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We'll take note of it for next time ! :>

I think the UI can be improved, the font and the art don't quite match in my opinion. I find it hard to read, but this could be a preference thing. The game progress too slow for me

Great game, it´s fun see how the colony grow up. I believe that the game sound its a little high.

Developer

Thanks for playing! We did notice that volume bit ^^; We'll take note of that next time, thank you for the feedback!

Fun incremental game! I like the art style and theming behind this, and I’ve definitely spent too much time playing the game. Would be nice to have a save feature in the future!

Submitted(+2)

I really liked the art style, especially of the ants. It might take too long to start making progress, very cute game

Submitted(+2)

I played for a while :P I hope my mouse isn't broken. GG!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for playing! You did so well in growing your colony!!! >:0
(Apart from the mouse, you can also use the spacebar to click faster hehe :> we'll make sure to add that in the instructions next time ToT )

Submitted(+2)

Okay, hopped on to play for a minute and give it a rating, and now it's going to be on in the background while I work all day haha. Great effort for a two-person team, good job!

Submitted(+2)

Great game ! I like the art, however it should work faster, i don't mind it but not a lot of people would play a game for too long. Althrough u did a good job, keep up the good work :)

Submitted(+2)

nice clicker game! would be nice to see the ants appearing when i add them to the colony. i think the mantis attack to early as well

Submitted(+2)

I thing it’s important to decide whether it is a clicker game, or an idle game. Because for idle game you want to move away from manual gathering pretty quickly and instead rely on automation. And clicker games, well, they are bad for my mouse so I don’t like them.

There is a lot of potential for an interesting idle game. But the balancing needs some more thought. Remember that this is a jam game and people are unlikely to spent more that 5 minutes on it. So given that, you can calculate how fast the progression should go to showcase all the interesting things in 5 minutes.

Other then that, I would probably suggest switching the font for a more readable one, because you have a lot of text. And show the amount of ants needed for more layers to give a feeling of progression.

All in all, a solid job, if a little overtuned for a jam game.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We'll definitely improve on these next time ^^
